Explosive Boos. Unlike normal Boos, Bomb Boos are not shy and charge towards Mario when approached. Spinning near a Bomb Boo causes Mario to grab onto its tongue and swing it in circles, like a lasso. It detonates if it is swung into an object or wall. If Mario does not release the Bomb Boo, it will closely pull in closer to him and explode in his face. Yellow caterpillars which walk around in circles. If Mario or Luigi ground pound nearby a Wiggler or spin one, they flip over. If stunned Wigglers are not stomped after several seconds, they upright themselves and turn red. Red Wigglers furiously chase Mario or Luigi, calming back down to their yellow forms in a few seconds. Spinning into its club slingshots it towards its head, damaging it. | A giant octopus that dwells in lava. He shoot coconuts and flaming rocks at Mario. Spinning into a coconut smacks it back towards him and damages him. | A Mandibug that carries its child on its back. Both can be defeated by performing a Ground Pound, though defeating the child first enrages the parent and makes it harder to strike. | An enormous, winged Mandibug. It releases explosive droppings from its abdomen as it flies and tries to bite Mario with its pinchers while grounded. Ground pounding its back damages it. |
