The Rock Cup is a cup that appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of the Booster Course Pass DLC. It is the first of two cups in the third wave of the DLC, being released alongside the Moon Cup, the fifth cup of the pass overall, and the seventeenth cup of the game overall. Like most cups in the pass, it only features classic courses. The emblem of the cup is a Rock Mushroom, making it the third cup in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to have some kind of Mushroom as its emblem, after the Mushroom Cup, the Golden Dash Cup, and the Propeller Cup. The decorations on this cup's trophy are green.

Trivia
- Internally during version 2.1.0, GBA Boo Lake and 3DS Rock Rock Mountain were referred to as the third and fourth course of the Rock Cup respectively, with DS Peach Gardens being the second course, and Wii Maple Treeway being in the Acorn Cup. A video uploaded by Nintendo of America on YouTube also lists DS Peach Gardens as the second course of the cup.[1]
