Invisible/flashing block
First appearance Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (1992)

Invisible/flashing blocks[1] are blocks that appear in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. They appear in the first and third levels of the Pumpkin Zone. They essentially act as the game's equivalent of a Hard Block; however, their visibility continuously flashes. This is merely cosmetic, as the block is still solid even when it is fully invisible.
