Moo Moo Farm (transliterated as Moh Moh Farm on a few occasions[1][2]) is the second race course of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart 64. This course takes place in a farmland, with Monty Moles and Moo Moos in it. Just like all Mushroom Cup courses, this course is relatively simple and is the shortest course in the game, measuring at 527 meters. It later reappears as a retro track in Mario Kart DS, as the second race of the Shell Cup, and the Mario Kart Wii track Moo Moo Meadows bears a strong resemblance to it. A sign reading "Nintendo Moo Moo Farm" can also be found on Moo Moo Meadows. Moo Moo Farm cargo trucks also appear in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, which reference the name of the course and also feature pictures of the Moo Moos and fences on the sides. This course shares its music with Yoshi Valley.
It is the only course from the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart 64 that does not reappear in Mario Kart 7 or Mario Kart Tour.
Mario Kart 64
In this course, there are many Monty Moles along the inside of the two large bends in the course; these Monty Moles are referred to as "Chubbies" in the game's instruction booklet. The course does not have many other obstacles, and has Moo Moos in the background throughout the whole course, and a Nintendo logo printed on it. This course is the shortest course in the game, and is one of the shortest courses in the whole series.
Players start out in the middle of the open fields and work their way through turns avoiding the mole holes littered throughout the course. After going under a small bridge the course becomes wider allowing for racers to pass each other. After passing the large section of the track racers will go under another bridge with pillars which are able to block their paths.
Mario Kart DS
Moo Moo Farm makes its classic course debut in Mario Kart DS as the second course of the Shell Cup. It has received only improved terrain and graphics, but no game mechanics have been changed. There are also now fewer Monty Moles. Moo Moo Farm was available in Wi-Fi. In addition, this is the only course in the Shell Cup to not be a circuit, as well as not being the first racetrack from the original game.
Missions
Two missions take place on this course:
- In mission 1-7, the player has to collect 20 Coins with Donkey Kong in a time limit of 35 seconds.
- In mission 3-6, the player has to take out five Monty Moles with Green Shells in a time limit of 1:05, while playing as Luigi.
Profiles
Mario Kart 64
- Mario Kart 64 instruction booklet A peaceful ranch course with an audience of contented cows. The road surface is a little rough, but not too difficult. Watch out for the mole Chubby who will occasionally pop his head out.
- Webpage bios
- Mushroom Cup section: "Watch out for the moles down on the farm! [3]
- Main page bio: "Moo Moo Farm is essentially a wide, slightly distorted oval. The track's surface, however, is very bumpy in some places, and slopes up on either side. From the Starting Line, the course goes into a dip and then into a gradual right turn. It's after that first turn that you might run into some of the course's many moles. A racer who crashes into a mole will wipe out, just as if he had hit a Fake Item. After the first turn, there is an easy S-curve which then goes into a broad straightaway. The course again turns to the right, and more moles are waiting in this turn. After the turn, the supports of a bridge are a potential hazard if you aren't careful." [4]
Mario Kart DS
- North American website bio: "Cows graze peacefully on Moo Moo Farm, but the dirt track is infested with Monty Moles! Avoid these pesky pests when they poke out their heads."
- European website bio: "You’ll have to milk your engine for all it’s worth, down on the farm. Obviously these fields have been left fallow, because there are enough bumps and humps to give a tractor trouble. Watch out for the local mole population, too. Up they pop and then you stop."

Trivia
- This track was originally going to take place during what appears to be a sunrise or sunset.[5]
This is the only track in Mario Kart DS’s Shell Cup to not be the introductory track in its debut game, as Luigi Raceway, which doesn’t appear in the game, is the introductory track for Mario Kart 64.
