“The boy-king Tutankhamen was only 19 years old when he died. Known informally as King Tut, his followers fillled his mausoleum with unbelievable treasures of gold, precious stones and art. His deathmask^[sic] was solid gold inlaid with lapis and jewels. Cleverly crafted to resemble the actual face of King Tut, the piece is the treasure's masterpiece. The tomb was unearthed in 1922 by a British Egyptologist who had been searching for it for years. Tut's tomb was one of the few royal gravesites to escape grave robbers.”

The Tomb of Tutankhamen, mistakenely referred to as Tomb of King Tutenkhamen^[sic], is located in Cairo, Egypt. In the PC versions of Mario is Missing!, a Koopa Troopa stole King Tut's mask from the tomb, forcing the tomb to close until Luigi returns it.
