Bannister from the Spanish Steps
The Bannister in Mario is Missing! (DOS)
First appearance Mario is Missing! (1992)

The bannister from the Spanish Steps is an item in the PC version of Mario is Missing!. It is one of the two handrails for the Spanish Steps in Rome, which gets stolen by a group of Koopa Troopas when they invade the city. As Luigi wanders around the city, he comes across a Koopa Troopa holding the Bannister and promptly takes it back. He then questions random people about its origins, and they all realize that it needs to be returned to the Spanish Steps. After gathering enough information, Luigi returns the Bannister to its proper place, and the Spanish Steps reopen.
