"DS Tick-Tock Clock"[1] is a musical theme composed by Shinobu Tanaka for Mario Kart DS, where it plays in Tick-Tock Clock outside of missions.

Arrangements[edit]

Mario Kart 8[edit]

In Mario Kart 8, an arrangement of "DS Tick-Tock Clock" composed by Ryo Nagamatsu plays in Tick-Tock Clock. This arrangement is live-recorded, and has a reworked intro that resembles the ringing of alarm clock. Compared to other courses, the final lap version is much faster compared to the original music. Gears appearing as background elements of the course rotate in time to the music. Additional percussion is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.
