- “Know how that gate in the lobby opens with a security code? It's saaaid that there's another four-digit code that ALSO works! But THAT code leads to a treasure... There's got to be at least one person inside who knows something about it. Our job? To get those details out of them. Sneaky-like! We'll split the treasure. Not a bad deal, riight?”
- —Man, Mario & Luigi: Brothership
More Than One Code is a side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. In this quest, Mario and Luigi must gather clues from residents on Lottacoins Island to find a code that leads to treasure.
More Than One Code becomes available after linking Allsand Island and expires after the second visit to Fortress Zokket. Clearing the side quest awards two 1-Up Mushrooms and two Super Syrup Jars.
Side quest
To start the side quest, Mario and Luigi must speak to a Man facing a corner outside the building of Lottacoins Island. He demands them to tell him the super-secret phrase, although the brothers do not know what it is. The man then turns around and tells them the phrase is "Mommy's no fun". Afterwards, he informs the Bros. about a four-digit code inside the building that leads to treasure. The three of them enter the building.
The bottom-left of the first floor has three tables, each having at least one resident. Mario, Luigi, and the quest giver must gather intel from them by sitting at the tables. Each table has a clue for the code:
- The man and woman on the eastern table confirms that the code has two numbers less than 5.
- The man sitting by the middle table says the code starts with 3, but gets larger as it goes right. To get information from him, 200 coins must be given to the man.
- The man at the western table explains that the four numbers from the code add up to 23.
The code must be entered by using the four blocks that were used to unlock the main gate to the third floor. The code is 3, 4, 7, 9. Upon entering it, a present appears. The quest-giver then arrives, returning the coins Mario and Luigi spent on gathering information. He then thanks them and becomes excited on what the treasure could be. The man's mother then arrives and tells him that he should be out doing his paper route. She apologizes to the Bros. for getting dragged into the spy mission and gives them their reward. The man and his mother then return home, and the side quest is complete. Mario and Luigi can then open the present, which contains a Gold Medallion.

Gossips' dialogue
The following quotes are from the Gossips if they are spoken to while the side quest is available.
- Yellow gossip: "Ladies! Have you been to Lottacoins Island?"
- Pink gossip: "I have. That big-city look is mighty fine. And that HUGE building!"
- Blue gossip: "I saw a sketchy character in front of the building. Little guy too. Kept jabbering away about "the code.""
- Yellow gossip: "You can't help seeing an oddball or two in a big place like that."
- Pink gossip: "Speaking of...my husband was there on business recently. But you know him, ladies—he's sketchy AND an oddball!"
- All three: "Ohohohoho! How dare we! How DARE we!"
- "A sketchy guy on Lottacoins Island... What IS the world coming to?"
