Stapled is a status effect which appears in Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Paper Mario: The Origami King.
In Paper Mario Sticker Star, it can only be caused by using the Stapler sticker. Characters affected by this state will be prevented from moving for a few turns. Similar to Tacked, enemies that are Stapled are damaged as soon as the status is inflicted, provided the player got at least a "Nice!" rating from the attack.
This state also appears in Paper Mario: The Origami King, where Mario will be inflicted with this state for one turn if Stapler's Dog Tag and Bite Barrage moves are not guarded against.
