Super Mario–related role(s) Italian voice actor for Mario and Lou Albano's other characters in the DiC Entertainment cartoons

Tony Fuochi was an Italian voice actor, known for providing the voice for big and/or evil cartoon characters, most notably Phoenix Ikki from Saint Seiya. He also dubbed Ox-King in the Mediaset-directed dubbing of Dragon Ball, Giovanni in the first seven seasons of Pokémon, Clayface in the DCAU cartoons, and Killer Croc in Batman: The Animated Series.

His most recognized role is the Italian voice of Mario in all three DiC Entertainment cartoons, and his voice role also includes the other Mario-like characters played by Lou Albano in the live-action segments, including Captain Lou himself. For DiC, he also dubbed Dr. Robotnik in both Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog.

He started off as a late-hour radio announcer until his voice talent was considered for dubbing cartoon characters. In the 2000s, he started to dub video games as well. He passed away in 2022 due to complications with COVID-19.[2]
