"Drifting Away" is a song composed by Ryoji Yoshitomi for WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, where it plays in Dribble & Spitz's stage, playing on the radio while they drive a customer to the Diamond City harbor, on the shore of the Floating Voices. The lyrics reference the Floating Voices that Dribble and Spitz's passenger wants to travel to. They also allude to Dribble's taxi and the ocean, which is likely in reference to their passenger as well, who turns out to be a mermaid. There are four variants of the song, each named after a season of the year, which switch off after each loop of the song.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$![edit]
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! marks the first appearance of "Drifting Away." The song also appears in the minigame Jump Forever, along with "Four Seasons" and the Jumpin' Rope theme. After Kat & Ana's stage is completed, this is the default tune until the player scores 100 jumps. An excerpt of "Drifting Away" also plays in the second level of the microgame Cymbalism.
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$![edit]
In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!, an instrumental arrangement of "Drifting Away" plays in the menu screen for Milky Way Delirium and when reading Dribble & Spitz's character profiles. It is titled "Dribble & Spitz's Theme" in the game's sound test.
The uncompressed source-quality version of "Drifting Away" plays in the music video for the song in the "Movie Matters" section. It alternates between the four variants of the song, with the first two variants being named "Spring" and "Summer" in Nintendo Sound Selection Vol.3: B-Side Music—the remaining two are likely "Autumn" and "Winter"—and then it returns to "Spring."

WarioWare Gold features the source-quality version of "Drifting Away" from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! as a record in the Toy Room, except the order of the four variations it alternates between is different, going "Spring," "Autumn," "Summer," "Winter," and back to "Spring." The European release erroneously retains the specification of Mega Microgame$! in the English description, despite that game being subtitled Minigame Mania in that region.
