(This was correct; also I disagree with keeping ON/OFF Conveyor Belt as its own article for the reasons on the talk page, and because there already are Conveyor Belts that change direction (such as in Mario vs. Donkey Kong).)

The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

ON/OFF Conveyor Belts are Conveyor Belts that change direction when triggered by ON/OFF Switches. They appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Maker 2.

History

New Super Mario Bros. 2

In New Super Mario Bros. 2, ON/OFF Conveyor Belts are exclusively found in World Flower-Castle, where only three of them appear: two lead to the area with the third Star Coin, while the other is the setting for the boss fight with Lemmy. They are controlled by pressing yellow switches[1] near them.

Super Mario Maker 2

In Super Mario Maker 2, ON/OFF Conveyor Belts are course elements that function as regular Conveyor Belts that can have their direction switched by hitting an ON/OFF Switch. The game still refers to them as Conveyor Belts.
