Assist parts are a mechanic in Super Mario Maker 2 allowing players to place certain blocks and power-ups in the levels of Story Mode to ease the completion. Assist parts are mentioned by Luigi after the Game Over screen. They are accessed by pressing in the middle of a level in which the player has received a Game Over.
Building parts
The following power-ups or blocks may be used:
- Mushroom — 1
- Super Star — 1
- Fire Flower — 1
- Theme-dependent power-up — 1
- Hard Block — 99
Like in the normal level editor, Mr. Eraser can be used to clear any parts placed by the player.
