A Smolderin' Stu,[1] also known as a Flaming Goomba,[2] Moe Kuri,[3] and Moe Kauri,[4] is a type of Strollin' Stu that appears in Super Mario Sunshine. It is distinct from a Strollin' Stu due to its ability to be covered in flames yet be apparently unharmed. Mario catches fire if he touches a Smolderin' Stu. If the flames are removed, its bright red skin becomes a dark charred brown. Smolderin' Stus can easily be defeated by a well-aimed squirt of water from FLUDD.
