Albatosses used to be normal residents of Subcon until the maniacal Wart seized power. The toad king ordered the red birds to be part of his military. Albatosses were trained to carry Bob-ombs and drop them on civilians who would otherwise make for the new dictator.

Artichoker
Trivia
Most of the time, Artichokers remain stationary, appearing to be normal shrubs. This is, in fact, a clever survival mechanism that allows the Artichokers to prey on unsuspecting travelers. Since items can sometimes be found in shrubs, an unlucky adventurer may accidentally stumble across an Artichoker, instead of treasure. After falling for the deception, the adventurer will have to fight the plant monster in combat. Unfortunately for the traveler, Artichokers prove to be very tough opponents.

Beezos
Beezos are a sub-species of Shy Guys that first appear in Super Mario Bros. 2. These types of species appear to have tridents armed as weapons. In addition to their physical appearance, they also have wings on their back; capable of flying.

Beezos attack by flying towards Mario or one of his friends using their pitchfork and then get within contact towards the character. They normally appear in packs as they proceed to attack the character that was played by the player. Beezos in packs endlessly appear on the screen; they won’t leave the character alone until the character leaves the current level the player is currently playing in.

To defeat them, there are two methods of basic defeating. The players can use the Vegetables that appeared growing in the ground or other throwable objects and throw it to one of them. Sadly, more and more Beezos will endlessly arrive by proceeding to attack the character. Another method is by first simply jumping on one of them, pick up the unit that the character is standing on and can throw it towards another Beezo.

Beezos reappear in Super Mario Advance, as the same attack methods exist being used. During gameplay, if the player defeats a single Beezo, the player acquires 4000 points total.

A similar species called a Shy Away appears in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

Boo Guy
Boo Guys employed a variety of traps in the game, including maces. Individual Boo Guys operated a single mace attached to a long chain. When a Boo Guy spotted a Yoshi, the ghost would drop the mace from the ceiling, hoping to crush the dinosaur. However, the Yoshi would have to be directly under the mace for the attack to be effective, and the Boo Guys tended to simply drop their maces continuously, instead of dropping the weapon at the most opportune moment. Since the weapon was heavy, it would take some time for the Boo Guy to pull the ball up to attempt another attack, allowing the Yoshis to pass safely underneath the weapon. This was the only way to get past these weapons, as the chain itself would actually damage the heroic dinosaurs.

[...]

After dropping the bomb, the unfortunate Boo Guy would eventually hang its head down in shame, while the other ghosts shook their heads in disappointment.

Broozer
Very little is known about what is under a Broozer's sheet, or if it even is a sheet. It may be a special type of Boo, but it just as likely could be a entirely new being. The only parts not hidden are their shoes and boxing gloves, although the latter could just as well be their hands. Their seeming lack of intelligence could mean that they are lowly enemies, like Goomba, in disguise. It is possible that they are mechanical, as they twitch when attacked and seem to have no memory. Their masks could even be a part of them, like theorized of Shy Guys, rather than just a garment, like Nabbit. They chiefly inhabit Ghost Houses, meaning that they could be under the control of the Boos.

I bought 1buycart Sniper because I was tired of those pesky autofill preventers that computers, and many time you can't read but have to fill in before you can submit a form. I thought it was another scam that would be a waste of money.
("These were three separate instances of this puzzling comparison. We had to put a notice to stop adding it.") — Mario
I had been researching ways to boost sales for my art prints and e-Books. After looking for a way around those 1buycarts, which are a pain in the butt, I finally found a software package that might actually do the trick. I ended up paying $197 for it and was, or so I thought worth it, at the time.
I was amazed that it actually did work. It will fill a lot of those 1buycarts, a list can be found on their homepage, http://www.1buycart.com . This greatly simplified filling in forms to link webpages, swap links, submit to search engines, build mailing lists, etc. I used it to market my art and e-Books and it has been quite effective.
But I ended up getting scammed anyway. I liked 1buycart Sniper so I sent an email to a friend who also bought. He ended up paying only $97 for it, $100 less than me! I was not happy and went to the website and found that they have a special offer now and it can be had for only $77.
Now I really mad and that's why I'm saying I got scammed. What I bought for $197, what I thought was a good deal at the time, can now be had for only $77.
I reluctantly must say it works well even though I paid far more than the price offered today. I guess I would have to recommend it even though I feel I got scammed on the price. All I can say it that it is well worth the 77 bucks.[china electronics wholesale]

Clambos also appear in Donkey Kong Land. However, instead of shooting pearls, they are constantly opening and closing their spacey mantles, which makes them hard to avoid.
<hr>
Goombas resemble mushrooms very closely. It is important that when playing Super Mario that a Goomba is not mistaken for a mushroom. Goombas are very hard to destroy, however, they appear to be small and weak looking.
<hr>
This section highlights the melodramatic parts of this revision before a user came and revised it. During this time, the article was nominated to be unfeatured due to the terrible writing. The fun parts are bolded.
Background
The original homeland of the Goombas was in the Mushroom Kingdom, which they shared with another fungus-based species, the Toads. The two races lived in peace. However, at an unknown point in time, the Goombas betrayed their mushroom brothers, and joined the militaristic Koopa Troop. This event apparently occurred a long time ago, even before the birth of the famous heroes Mario and Luigi. In fact, Goombas were members of the Koopa Troop when King Bowser was still a child. However, it is important to note that not all Goombas joined the Koopas; some Goombas continued to live in peace with the Mushroom Kingdom (such as the inhabitants of Goomba Village), while others became independent bandits and thieves.

ComBat
Super Mario Bros.
ComBat are a distant relative to the Swooper, but VERY distant. They are much closer to the Catbat. ComBat live in the darkest reaches of Yoshi's Island, and nowhere else. As such, they may be found circling the Tall Tower, hunting in the Neuron Jungle, or stalking Bowser's Castle. They pose little threat to most residents, as they hunt small things such as Nomadimice. Nonetheless, ComBats will attack anything that gets too close, and are immune to most things other than eggs.

After many years had passed, Bowser matured into adulthood, and Goombas finally became the backbone of the Koopa Troop. By the time of Super Mario Bros., Goombas were the most common soldier in the ranks of Bowser's army. These mushrooms were deployed en masse during Bowser's first invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom. In the game, Goombas occupied almost every level (except underwater levels): these enemies resided not only above ground, but also in subterranean caves and in conquered castles.

ComBat only appear in Yoshi's Story. Pictures of them are extremely rare, some of the rarest of the already rare Yoshi's Story official artwork. For those who wish to view one outside the game, it is best to buy the official guide to Yoshi's Story, which is full of the artwork.
In this game, Goombas were simple soldiers who could only damage Mario or Luigi by walking into one of the plumbers. These brown Goombas were extremely weak, and could be defeated by a single stomp or fireball; a Goomba could also be destroyed by hitting the block it was standing on from below. A single Goomba would only walk in one direction, but upon collision with an obstacle or another enemy, would turn around and walk in the opposite direction. These Goombas would also blindly walk off ledges, often falling into a bottomless pit. Many Goombas would attack the Mario Bros. in groups of two or three, forcing the heroes to taken caution when attacking the squad of mushrooms. To defeat a group of Goombas, Mario or Luigi could either patiently stomp one Goomba at a time to avoid being attacked by the following enemy, or time a combo of jumps to stomp one Goomba after the other. This combo attack would not only destroy the whole group if properly timed, but would also increase the number of points Mario or Luigi gained for each subsequent Goomba defeated. Fire Mario could quickly dispatch a group of Goombas; however, the plumber would not earn a point bonus for this attack. Kicked Shells could also be used to clear long rows of Goombas. This special attack would rack up points, and possibly earn extra lives.

Bowser would again employ Goombas during his second bid for the Mushroom Kingdom throne, as seen in the game Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. However, during this invasion, many Goombas were replaced by the much stronger Buzzy Beetles, a species resilient to fire. Regardless, a large number of Goombas were deployed in strategic enclosed locations with little jumping room. During the events of Super Mario Bros. 3, Goombas were deployed by the Koopa Troop in high numbers across the seven kingdoms of Mushroom World. These Goombas behaved just like their brethren from Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Goombas were stationed in all seven kingdoms, and were the basic grunt soldier the Mario Bros. faced during their liberation efforts. This attack also saw the introduction of a vast array of Goomba sub-species that aided their relatives in combat. The winged Paragoombas provided air support, while their children, the tiny Micro-Goombas (also known as Mugger Micro-Goombas), limited the jumping ability of the Mario Bros. These Micro-Goombas would also hide in bricks, becoming Pile Driver Micro-Goombas, and would use the element of surprise to catch the two heroic plumbers off-guard. The gigantic Grand Goombas helped invade the fourth kingdom Giant Land; however, these giants were actually no stronger than the common Goomba.

Goombas were a staple force during Bowser's attack on Princess Peach's Castle, as seen in the games Super Mario 64 (and Super Mario 64 DS). Like other relatively recent campaigns by the Koopa Troop, Goombas were not deployed in high numbers like in Bowser's early invasions. However, that being said, Goombas did occupy a number of painting worlds, including Bob-omb Battlefield, Shifting Sand Land, Tiny-Huge Island, and Tall Tall Mountain (among others). Notably, on the DS remake, Goomboss, the ruler of the Goombas, managed to capture Mario and imprison him within the confines of the castle. This was an impressive act of revenge against the hero who had been stomping Goombas for many years. Yoshi eventually saved his friend Mario from Goomboss and his Goomba hordes.
Go to Klepto for more info.

During this adventure, Goombas acted differently than their previous counterparts. Instead of walking back and forth in a straight path, Goombas would patrol a small area in a circular motion. When the fungus spotted an enemy, the Goomba would jump in surprise and charge at the foe. Despite these behavioral changes, Goombas were among the weakest enemies in the game. A single stomp would destroy a Goomba; while such attacks as punches and kicks would also defeat the mushroom in one hit. Bob-ombs and Koopa shells were also effective weapons to use against these baddies. When destroyed, a Goomba would give up a Yellow Coin or, in several levels, a Silver Star, bringing the player closer to completing their goal. In Super Mario 64 DS, when playing as Yoshi, Goombas would sometimes wear a Mario, Luigi, or Wario cap. Upon defeating the Goomba, the cap could be claimed to transform into the respective character. In this game, Goombas often appeared in groups of two or three. If Yoshi spat out a Goomba at another Goomba or most types of enemy before the Goomba turned into an egg, the Goomba would come out green and would kill or damage the other enemy, along with killing itself, upon contact.

Goombas were once again loyal soldiers to Bowser, and his son Bowser Jr., during the events of New Super Mario Bros. In the game, Goombas occupied various lands of the Mushroom Kingdom, blocking Mario's way as he attempted to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser Jr. Goombas remained loyal to the Koopa Troop and Bowser Jr., even after the death of King Bowser (Interestingly, Bowser Jr. used the Goomba look-alike Strollin' Stus in his previous adventure, instead of Goombas.). Goombas worked in groups in the game, attempting to bump into Mario to harm him. Stomps, fireballs, and shells made quick work of these foul mushrooms. However, as Mini Mario, the red-clad hero was not strong enough to destroy a Goomba with a simple stomp attack. While pint-sized, Mario had to perform a Ground Pound to destroy the much larger Goomba. Paragoombas also reappeared in this game, along with another tiny Goomba sub-species, the Mini Goomba. The Mega Goomba, a Goomba mega-sized by Bowser Jr.'s Mega Mushroom, caused a lot of trouble for Mario in the castle of World 4. Goombas "dance" to the electronic chorus riff in the background music by doing a short hop, strangely, they hop high enough for them to dodge incoming Koopa Shells.

Eely-Mouth
3
*Even if it cannot be seen in-game, Eely-Mouth's interior is fully modeled. This likely means that it was intended early in development for Mario to swim inside of Eely-Mouth, but this feature was removed for unknown reasons.
*If the game is hacked to get out of bounds, it can be seen that the back half of Eely-Mouth isn’t modeled, because the devs never expected the player to be able to see it. This can also be seen through a glitch that can randomly happen where Eely-Mouth will accidentally rise too high out of its hole, revealing the edge of the model where it cuts off. Going out of bounds also reveals that Eely-Mouth’s hole has no interior and abruptly ends past a certain point, revealing the black skybox of the Nooki Depths, which has strange yellow bioluminescent-like flashing lights, below.
*It is possible via a glitch to clip through Eely-Mouth’s body and end up partially inside of it, but a second invisible barrier prevents you from getting fully inside of it. This second barrier can also be glitched through, however. Doing so reveals a fail-safe mechanism implemented by the devs in the case you somehow got into Eely-Mouth’s body; upon getting inside it’s body, Eely-Mouth will lower itself down until you are inside of it’s mouth, in which case the cutscene for being eaten by it will play, and Mario will be spat out by it.
*One pair of Eely-Mouth’s eyes are masculine, with large eyebrows, while the other pair is feminine, with large eyelashes, meaning Eely-Mouth is potentially genderless. The male eyes release far more poisonous tear-bubbles than the female eyes do for an unknown reason.
*Releasing a tooth on Eely-Mouth’s female side will cause it to make feminine pain sounds. Conversely, releasing a tooth on its male side will cause it to make masculine pain sounds.
*Eely-Mouth, the Gooper Bloopers, Mecha-Bowser, King Boo, Giant Chain-Chomp, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. (only in the final battle) are the only bosses in all of Mario sunshine who do not splat into paint and die upon defeat.
*Eely-Mouth is by far the largest enemy, boss, and character in the game, with only Bowser, Mecha-Bowser, and Phantom-Manta coming anywhere close to it in size.
*If one were to take a very close look at Eely-Mouth’s eyes in-game or look at them through a model editor, a picture of a beta version of Ricco Harbor, complete with Mario and a few enemies, coins, and NPCs in it, can be seen reflected in them, despite the fact that Eely-Mouth isn’t fought in Ricco Harbor. This is likely because Eely-Mouth was originally meant to be fought in Ricco Harbor early in development, but this was changed at some point later on for unknown reasons.
*Eely-Mouth bares several similarities to the Unagi Eels present in several games, specifically the one in Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine’s predecessor, as both are massive eels that live very deep underwater (only in Super Mario 64 for the Unagi Eel), are completely invulnerable to damage (Eely-Mouth’s teeth can be cleaned, causing it to permanently go back into its hole, but it cannot outright be defeated), and try to eat Mario to hurt him.
*Though it cannot be seen in-game due to its constant rippling, the waves of it being constantly thrown around, and the fact that it is constantly turning into bubbles, the goo inside of the cauldron Bowser and Bowser Jr. are fought in during the final battle of the game has a reflection modeled on it, as can be seen via viewing the goop in a model editor. This reflection is a picture of a beta version of the Nooki Depths, complete with Eely-Mouth in it. Strangely, in the picture, both of its pairs of eyes are quite far off center from where they normally are in-game. It is not known why this is, nor is it known why this reflection was even put here in the first place.
*There is an invisible barrier over Eely-Mouth’s hole that prevents the player from swimming into it after Eely-Mouth swims back in it once its teeth have all been cleaned and removed. This barrier cannot be glitched through in any way, but it is still possible to glitch through the crater around the hole to see the small parts of said hole that cannot normally be seen.
*Eely-Mouth’s fins are not fully 3D modeled, and are instead just moving Jpeg images.
*If you spray Eely-Mouth’s poison tear-bubbles for long enough, they will turn into air bubbles that will replenish your air meter.
*In all missions after it leaves, the waters of Nooki Bay will be clean and won’t hurt Mario anymore, the Nooki depths will be repopulated with Nookis (non of which can be talked to since Mario can’t talk to NPCs underwater), who have finally returned home again since the poison is gone, and Eely-Mouth’s hole will be completely covered up, with only the crater around it remaining. Swimming back down to the crater will reveal a hidden 1-Up for you to collect.
*It can be assumed the Bowser Jr., likely disguised as Shadow Mario, polluted Eely-Mouth with his magic brush, since it’s clearly in distress while Mario “fights” it, as it constantly cries out poisonous tear-bubbles, (which in turn means that it may not actually be intending to hurt Mario with its poisonous tear-bubbles, and instead does it because the poison causes it so much pain that it is forced to cry it out in tear-bubbles; if this is true, it is the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine with an attack it can’t control, an attack that isn’t meant to be an attack, and an attack that isn’t meant to hurt Mario), and it appears to be happy and thankful to Mario after he cleans and removes its teeth, as it leaves behind a large amount of coins in the shape of a heart after it leaves. This suggests the Eely-Mouth, despite its unnerving appearance, isn’t inherently violent or hostile, and is instead normally peaceful and docile, but it was turned violent and Hostile after Bowser Jr. corrupted it. This makes it the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine to be a natural creature native to Isle Delfino that was corrupted by Bowser Jr., as well as the only boss that wasn’t originally evil, and one of only two bosses that thanks the player upon its “defeat”, with the other one being Giant Chain-Chomp. This also makes it, along with Bowser, Mecha-Bowser, Bowser Jr. himself (only in the final battle), Giant Chain-Chomp, and (possibly) King Boo the only bosses in all of Super Mario Sunshine that weren’t creations of Bowser Jr. and his magic paint brush.
*Because of the nature of its “fight”, Eely-Mouth is the Only Boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine to never actually be attacked, fought or defeated; instead, Mario simply cleans and removes its teeth whilst avoiding its poison tears and its attempts to eat him, and once all of its teeth are cleaned and removed, it simply swims back into its hole and leaves a bunch of coins as a reward for curing it of its pollution.
*Eely-Mouth is the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that is fought underwater. This makes it the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine where it is possible to drown whilst “fighting” it without the player having to go out of their way to do so. This also makes it the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that straight up cannot be jumped on at all (because Mario obviously can’t jump underwater), as well as the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine where it is completely impossible for F.L.U.D.D. To ever loose any water from its tank whilst the player “fights” it without hacking, and the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that cannot be “defeated” with F.L.U.D.D.’s tank at any level other than full without hacking.
*Eely-Mouth is the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that Mario “fights” with the fish-bowl on his head.
*Because it is “fought” underwater to begin with, Eely Mouth does not react to being sprayed by F.L.U.U.D. at all. It will only ever react to it if its teeth are sprayed by it. It is one of the only entities in all of Super Mario Sunshine with this trait, with the only other ones being Petey Piranha Plant in his second fight while he’s sleeping and Giant Chain-Chomp after it is lured into the hot spring and cools off. Coincidentally, they are all bosses. It is also the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that reacts to F.L.U.D.D. Only when a certain part of its body is sprayed, and doesn’t react to anything else.
*Eely-Mouth, King Boo, Mecha-Bowser, Phantom-Manta, Bowser, Bowser Jr. (only in the final battle), Giant Chain-Chomp, and Wiggler are the only bosses in all of Super Mario Sunshine that are only ever fought once in the game.
*The maximum amount of Eely-Mouth’s poison tear-bubbles that can be present on screen at once is unknown and cannot be seen in-game because the poison tear-bubbles pop before the limit is ever reached, so there’s never enough of them on screen at once for any new ones created by Eely-Mouth to be forced to despawn.

Four varieties of Goomba appeared in the game Hotel Mario. These mischievous Goombas aided Bowser in his attempt to transform the Mushroom Kingdom into his personal resort. Goombas guarded the seven hotels set up by Bowser's Koopalings. In the game, Goombas attempted to prevent Mario from shutting down the seven Koopa Hotels. To do this, Mario had to shut all the doors in each hotel. Regular Goombas opposed his efforts by slowly walking to closed doors and opening them (as well as generally just getting in the plumber's way). Paragoombas (called Flying Goombas in this game) also appeared. Two new types of Goomba, the Bellhop Goomba and the Rhinestone Goomba, make their only appearance in this game.

During the early years of Bowser's life, Goombas saw limited deployment. A large portion of the Koopa Troop was made up of Shy Guys and Koopa Troopas at this time – Goombas were not the common enemy they would become in later years. In fact, during the events of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Goombas only appeared in one level: World 4-1 GO! GO! MARIO!! In this level, Goombas would attempt to walk into Yoshi, knocking off Baby Mario so that the child could be captured by Kamek's Toadies. These mushroom baddies would walk very slowly, and though were extremely resilient, they did not pose much of a threat. When Yoshi stomped the brown fungus, the Goomba would flatten like a pancake, but not be destroyed; they could even walk into and damage Yoshi in this state. After some time, the Goomba would "pop" and assume its standard mushroom shape. These durable Goombas could be defeated with a well aimed egg toss, a powerful Ground Pound attack, or simply be eaten by Yoshi and transformed into Yoshi Eggs. The brown mushroom could also be eaten and immediately spat out to attack other nearby enemies. Strangely, before these Yoshi's Island Goombas jumped off a ledge, they would wiggle their eyebrows.

Goombas were among the weakest members of the Koopa Troop during the events of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. However, they were stronger than the Terrapin, a low-level Koopa soldier. In the game, many Goombas were stationed at Mushroom Way, the area between Bowser's Keep and the Mushroom Kingdom. Goombas, under the command of two Hammer Bros., patrolled the paths of Mushroom Way, and would attack or capture any intruders. In fact, Toad himself was captured by a group of Goombas while the fungus adviser was on his way to the Mushroom Kingdom. Other Goombas not loyal to the Koopa Troop resided in Bandit's Way, working as independent thieves. Wild Goombas lived in the Pipe Vault, a secret area near Rose Town. Although as strong as the Goombas from Mushroom Way and Bandit's Way, these underground dwelling Goombas were encountered much later in the game, and thus were not considered much of a threat. Other independent Goombas lived in the caves of the Midas River. These Goombas were more concerned with catching the river's fish to eat than battling outsiders. In battle, Goombas would attack enemies by biting. They could also shoot sharp thorns to cause 50% more damage than usual.. Goombas were fairly weak, and could often be destroyed by a simple Timed Hit. A Goomba's bite attack could be blocked by defending right after the mushroom performed a somersault. The damage of a Goomba's thorn could be blunted by defending right before the projectile hit the party member. Additionally, Goombas typically fought in groups of two to three (either with other Goombas or stronger monsters). When defeated, Goombas would often yield HP MAX! Flowers to Mario and his party.

Besides the small outpost at Mushroom Way, the Koopa Troop, as a whole, was actually on the verge of collapse. During the events of the game, the Koopa Troop was devastated by the invasion of the extraterrestrial Smithy Gang. The mechanical monstrosities chose Bowser's Keep as their base-of-operations in Mushroom World. As a result, many soldiers in the Koopa Troop switched sides to join the invaders while others simply ran away, instead of fighting the powerful aliens and defending their headquarters. Among the defectors were the powerful Gu Goombas, who later became guards for the Smithy Gang. One Goomba deserter found his way to Monstro Town, a community of reformed monsters. This lone Goomba set up shop here, selling powerful Koopa-based armor and weapons. The Goomba was also aided by his three Goombette nephews, the Triplets (other Goombettes, not related to this Goomba, appeared in the Sunken Ship).

After the Koopa Troop was expelled from Bowser's Keep, King Bowser himself attempted to reassemble the tattered remains of his military in Rose Way. Many Goombas remained loyal to Bowser and joined him in his quest to retake the castle, but by the time the army reached Moleville, many Goombas had abandoned Bowser. By the time Bowser reached Booster Tower, all of Bowser's army (including all his Goombas) had deserted their former king. However, at the tower, Bowser decided to join forces with Mario, knowing that with the plumber's strength, the king could get his keep back. Eventually, Bowser, Mario, Princess Peach, Mallow, and Geno found their way to Monstro Town. While in the haven for reformed monsters, the Koopa King ran into the Goomba deserter who had set up shop in the village. The Goomba apologized for deserting the Koopa Troop, but offered to sell Bowser powerful weapons and armor in return. Eventually, Bowser, with the help of Mario and his friends, managed to expel the Smithy Gang and defeat their leader, the diabolical Smithy. With his keep returned, many former soldiers (including many Goombas) returned to King Bowser and the Koopa Troop. In fact, many Goombas helped rebuild Bowser's Keep to its former glory.

Interestingly, a Goomba was Luigi's partner in Mario Party 3. A gambling Goomba was the host of a casino-themed board in Mario Party 4. In Mario Party 8, Goombas once again obtained a major role, where a large pirate Goomba operated his own board, Goomba's Booty Boardwalk. Also, on the same board, there is a sacred island off the coast that is home to the GoomGod, an unseen diety who gives the player a Star. Goombas were a staple of Bowser's army during his attempt to take the Mushroom Kingdom with the power of the Star Rod in the game Paper Mario. In fact, many varieties of Goombas aided the Koopa King. Goomboss (this time named the Goomba King) returned, commanding a large group of Goombas that resided in Goomba Road, the pathway between Goomba Village and Toad Town. Besides regular Goombas, the Goomba King controlled a large number of Paragoombas and Spiky Goombas, Goombas that wore spiked helmets to counter Mario's jumping ability. The Goomba King's two loyal henchmen, Red Goomba and Blue Goomba, appeared in the game as well. A new sub-species of Goomba, known as the Gloomba, was also introduced. These dark Goombas lived underground, and also had Paragloomba and Spiky Gloomba relatives. Hyper Goombas, green-colored Goombas similar to the Gu Goombas, were first seen in this game. These powerful Goombas could charge their attack power, and were a major threat to Mario. Again, Hyper Goombas had a Hyper Paragoomba and a Hyper Spiky Goomba variant.

The regular brown Goombas of Paper Mario behaved similarly to their counterparts in Super Mario 64. These bad mushrooms would patrol a small area, and upon seeing Mario, would charge at the plumber. In battle, Goombas attacked by using the "Headbonk" technique. The mushroom would jump in the air, then dive into Mario, bonking its head against the hero's. This attack could be blocked by defending just as the Goomba's head touched Mario. If struck by the attack, Mario would take one HP of damage. At the beginning of the game, it requires two stomps or two Hammer strikes to defeat a Goomba (as Goombas only have two HP). However, after Mario learns how to use Action Commands, the plumber only needed one timed attack to defeat one of these bad mushrooms.

Although Goombas were normally fought at the beginning of the game, one Goomba could be fought much later than expected. At one point, Bowser asked Princess Peach what Mario fears most. One of Peach's choices was "A Goomba", and if she picked this, Kammy Koopa would warp a Goomba to Shy Guy's Toy Box. Although Kammy expressed doubt that the Goomba would scare Mario away, she left the fungus in charge of defending a vital Treasure Box anyways. When Mario eventually arrived, the Goomba became very scared, and was quickly defeated by the powerful plumber.
Galoomba
* Galoombas are infinitely better than Goombas and if you disagree you are wrong.

Despite the large number of Goombas loyal to the Koopa Troop, Paper Mario notably features the first community of peaceful Goombas. These Goombas did not wage war against the Mushroom Kingdom; they were a part of it. In fact, this Goomba community was instrumental in defeating King Bowser and liberating the Mushroom Kingdom. It was the family of Goombas (composed of Goompa, Gooma, Goompapa, Goomama, Goombaria, and Goombario) living in peaceful Goomba Village that first discovered Mario's near-lifeless body after the hero's initial defeat at the hands of Bowser. These friendly Goombas nursed Mario back to full strength, and provided the plumber with a Hammer to fight the soldiers of the Koopa Troop. The family also allowed Mario to take Goomnuts from their village; these nuts could be used by Mario to recover his FP. Goombario, a young Goomba and personal admirer of Mario, even joined the hero on his adventure. The young Goomba's Tattle ability was extremely valuable, as he provided hints on how to defeat certain enemies. With Goombario's (among others) help, Mario was able to defeat Bowser and save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario ran into a number of Goombas during the events of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. These Goombas lived in the seedy town known as Rogueport. Many of these Goombas were independent thieves, bandits, crooks, cheats, and "cleaners." These mushroom crooks wore green hats, similar to the hat the hero from Hyrule Link wears. Although not the best of company, these Goombas from Rogueport would not attack Mario. However, the Goombas that lived in the Rogueport Sewers or in Petal Meadows were very aggressive. Goombas behaved just like their Paper Mario counterparts, and were not much of a threat, as Mario could perform Action Commands from the beginning of the game. All the Goomba sub-species featured in Paper Mario also return in this game.

Although a large number of either aggressive or simply seedy Goombas appeared in the game, The Thousand-Year Door featured two Goombas that aided Mario in his adventure. The first was Goombella, a female college student from Goomba University. She actually joined Mario on his quest to find the legendary treasure hidden beneath the town of Rogueport (as well as rescue Princess Peach, who had been captured by the Secret Society of the X-Nauts). Her Goomba teacher, Professor Frankly, also helped Mario by interpreting the Magical Map, allowing the hero to find the next Crystal Star and continue his journey.

A group of Goombas joined their master Bowser as he attempted to track down the witch Cackletta during the events of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. These Goombas would hold tutorial battles with Mario and Luigi in the Koopa Cruiser, who happened to join the Koopa King in his search for Cackletta (as the witch has stolen Princess Peach's voice). These Goombas would be patrolling the halls of the cruiser, or simply hiding in barrels. The Goombas would engage in battles with the Mario Bros., to get a little training in before their showdown with Cackletta. In battle, a Goomba would approach either Mario or Luigi, somersault towards the plumber, then bite. This attack could be dodged by jumping after the Goomba opened its mouth. To counter the attack, Mario or Luigi would have to jump right when the Goomba's mouth opened. They each have 4 HP so they are not that strong. The Goombas did not see much action after that, as the Koopa Cruiser was shot down by Fawful before Cackletta was engaged in combat.

Although traditional, Koopa Troop-loyal Goombas did not appear throughout the rest of the game, a number of wild sub-species posed problems for the Mario Bros. as they adventured through the Beanbean Kingdom. Goombas from the brothers' past, the Tanoombas, resided just north of Beanbean Castle Town. Another sub-species, known as the Gritty Goomba, lived in the Teehee Valley and Gwarhar Lagoon regions of the Beanbean Kingdom. These powerful Goombas were covered in bandages, and had the ability to conjure sandstorms to distort opponents. The last Beanbean Kingdom sub-species was the Goomdiver. Unlike most Goombas, these creatures can reside underwater as they wear special scuba diving gear. Mario and Luigi encountered Goomdivers in Oho Ocean.

Baby Bowser would later use Goombas as castle guards during the Shroob invasion, as depicted in the game Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. In this adventure, Goombas were considered the weakest member of the Koopa Troop; they patrolled the halls of Baby Bowser's Castle, attacking any intruder who dared to enter Prince Bowser's fortress. To attack, a Goomba would simply run into an intruder, and could easily be countered with a Jump attack. Goombas were sometimes aided in battle by Boos. Other Goomba sub-species were featured in the game. The Tanooki-Goomba hybrid known as the Tanoomba was a master shape-shifter that lived on the treacherous slopes of Thwomp Mountain. The invading Shroobs also created their own version of the Tanoomba known as the Tashrooba. This dark sub-species served as guards inside Shroob Castle, the conquered (and Shroobified) version of Princess Peach's Castle.

Additionally, during the present-time events of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Princess Peach had a minor Goomba infestation in the dungeon of her castle. Although weak, these Goombas were slightly stronger and attacked faster than their past counterparts from Baby Bowser's Castle. However, they still offered very little experience points and coins when defeated.
Goombas resemble mushrooms very closely. It is important that when playing Super Mario that a Goomba is not mistaken for a mushroom. Goombas are very hard to destroy, however, they appear to be small and weak looking.

grindels are just mummified thwomps they are only in the shifting sandland course they try to smash mario whenever he goes beneath them they have made an appearence in mario party they are most powerful and cannot be destroyed!!
During the events of Super Princess Peach, the Princess had to fight a threat from the Koopa Troop and its Goomba minions without the help of the Mario Bros. In the game, Bowser had acquired the Vibe Scepter from Vibe Island, and used <big>it's</big> power to attack Princess Peach's Castle. A lone Goomba led an army of Hammer Bros. in an assault on the castle, using the power of the Vibe Scepter to debilitate the castle guards. The attack was successful, and Mario, Luigi, and multiple castle Toads were captured by the Hammer Bros. Fortunately, Princess Peach and her attendant Toadsworth escaped the assault. The Princess decided to rescue her friends, and was given a magical umbrella named Perry to help her in her quest. Once again, Goombas, among other enemies, attempted to stop Princess Toadstool in her travels around Vibe Island. Although Goombas were not much of a threat, the Princess had a few new and interesting ways to destroy the malicious mushrooms: she could throw the Goomba at another enemy, hit the mushroom with Perry, or have the umbrella eat the Goomba. Paragoombas, as well as a new variety the Red Paragoomba, appeared in the game as well. Princess Peach also battled with a number of emotional varieties of Goomba, all affected by the power of the Vibe Scepter (which was accidentally released across the island by the Goomba who led the attack on Mushroom Castle). These emotional Goombas included the Mad Goomba, the Sad Goomba, the Sad Paragoomba, and the Mad Red Paragoomba.

[...]
a realitive is the spindle they make strange grunts

Unlike Shy Guys, Goombas have not mastered the art of invention for use in battle. One of the most advanced pieces of technology to be employed by the Goombas is the parachute. The parachute allows a large number of Goombas to swarm enemy territory from the sky. Otherwise, Goombas tend to use their natural (albeit usually weak) abilities in battle. However, Goombas have developed a number of tools to counter the jumping ability of the Mario Bros. The Goomba's Shoe allowed the mushrooms to imitate the heroic plumbers, while the spiked hat seen in the Paper Mario series effectively counters any jump attack (unless Mario wears a Spike Shield badge). Gritty Goombas have attached spears to their heads to counter stomp attacks as well.

Goomba Leadership and Allegiances
SO BE CARFUL!!
The Goomba King (also known as Goomboss) is the leader of the Goomba race. However, the Goomba King is merely a lackey of the powerful King Bowser, and as such most Goombas simply work directly for their de facto leader Bowser. Most Goombas are loyal to the Koopa Troop, and form the backbone of its army (although this was not always the case, as Shy Guys and Koopa Troops were deployed much more than Goombas in the early years). Many are independent and have worked for other villains, including the infamous Wario. Some are rogue bandits, living in areas such as Bandit's Way and Rogueport, while others remained loyal to the Mushroom Kingdom, such as the peaceful Goomba family of Goomba Village, and the scholarly students and professors from the Goomba University. Interestingly, many Goombas appear to be wild, acting on monstrous instinct, instead of peaceful (or self-motivated) reason.

[...] It is possible that the chairs and flowerpots that seem to move on their own in various levels could be moved by these; however, this cannot be proved, as there are no other mirrors in the game.
An Ice Cherbil is a semi-common enemy from Super Paper Mario, found in various locations such as the Yold Desert, the Overthere Stair or the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. These blue counterparts of Cherbils blow icy clouds at the four heroes, which can freeze them in a block of solid ice. Shaking the Wii Remote repeatedly is the only way to break the icicle. Ice Cherbils are also immune to ice attacks, as their name implies, although they can still be frozen.

They appear in 2-4 and 5-3. In 5-3 though, none of them attack the player.

According to the game's credits, Kuff 'n' Klout belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.

Also notable about the battle is the fact that Monstar was invulnerable to Star Spirit attacks and the Shooting Star item, perhaps because stars can't hurt other stars.

Pharaoh Guy
Pitchforks have only appeared in Wario Land: Shake It!. One of the levels on Wario Land: Shake It! with Pitchforks in them was World 3, Scene 1 (see External Links section; Gameplay Video).
Yoshi can reproduce them to yarn balls normally.

Types of Enemies
Piranha Plant
Pitchforks are not the bosses of levels. They are just normal enemies.
3
*In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, the chomping noises the Piranha Plants make is Petey Piranha's voice sped up. They also make the same sound as Petey Piranha gets hit by an item or falls down the kart when they get hit by an item.

Functions
Pitchfork
Pitchforks hang mostly on ceilings (because of their fork), and if Wario is under them, they wrench themselves out the ceiling and fall to the ground. If they see Wario when on the ground, they run toward Wario, trying to stab him with their fork. However, if Wario dodges them, they'll hit a wall, leaving them stuck. Wario can then pick them up and throw them.

Of course, the fact is still irrelevant for the original game, because Yoshi spitting enemies isn't in that version and you can't bring a Starman to a Torpedo Ted in either version." - P-Tux7)

Jokes about enemies! Yes, these things were on actual articles.

Air Bag

Trivia
 • The name is a pun on the word airbag.

Albatoss

Albatosses used to be normal residents of Subcon until the maniacal Wart seized power. The toad king ordered the red birds to be part of his military. Albatosses were trained to carry Bob-ombs and drop them on civilians who would otherwise make for the new dictator.

Arantula

In Super Paper Mario there is a Sammer Guy called "Hairy Arantula in the Grass". His name is a reference to the Arantula.
("Bet you didn't know the legendary Pirate Gombaa, the upgraded version of Pirate Goomba, is a reference to Pirate Goomba. True facts are always true!" --EleCyon (talk))

Artichoker

Most of the time, Artichokers remain stationary, appearing to be normal shrubs. This is, in fact, a clever survival mechanism that allows the Artichokers to prey on unsuspecting travelers. Since items can sometimes be found in shrubs, an unlucky adventurer may accidentally stumble across an Artichoker, instead of treasure. After falling for the deception, the adventurer will have to fight the plant monster in combat. Unfortunately for the traveler, Artichokers prove to be very tough opponents.

Bandinero

Varieties
Golden Bandinero

Their color scheme differs from that of common Bandineros:

Golden Bandinero Normal Bandinero
 • Black mouth
 • Golden bandana cap
 • Red eyes
 • Golden gloss
 • Golden body
 • Pink mouth
 • Dark blue bandana cap
 • Yellow eyes
 • No gloss
 • Body color differs from sort

("Keep this in mind because this will be in your final exam for Wario Land: Shake It! enemies, okay class?" --CyonOfGaia (talk))

Bandit

Paper Mario

They can dash at an amazing speed towards Mario.

[...]

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

They have lost their amazing speed.

Bazza

As revealed in the Game Boy Advance remake, Bazzas can live in both fresh and salt water.

Beaker

Beakers are tiny apes from Wario's Woods. They wear bandannas on their heads and are the rarest enemies, along with Scrams.

Trivia
 • They're sort of like miniature Kongs.

("Okay, real question. How did you even see the top of a sprite A cyan Beaker from the SNES version of Wario's Woods as a bandana? Also, I don't think they've tasted a banana in their entire life being among the rarest enemies in the entire game." --EleCyon (talk))

("...maybe they mistook the face for a neckerchief?" -Arend (talk))

Bee (Donkey Kong Jungle Beat)

Bees are a species of bee-like enemies from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.

(Pirate Goomba's revenge? -FanOfYoshi (talk))

Beezos

Beezo
The two different colored Beezos that debuted in Super Mario Advance.

Artwork of a yellow Beezo.
An illustration of a yellow Beezo.

Appearances In Other Media
Beezo
A Beezo, dressed up as a knight, from The Super Mario Bros Super Show!
Cartoons

Beezos made several appearances on The Super Mario Bros Super Show!, usually serving as guards.

Trivia
 • Beezos are found in two colors: red and pink (in newer versions they are pink and brown).
 • In Luigi's Mansion, Beezos are referenced by Shy Guy ghosts that could levitate and were armed with a pitchfork.

("It's funny that it refers to Shy Away as a similar species in this revision before the fact this name was properly translated back as a 'Beezo' in the Nintendo Switch remake of the game itself." - EleCyon (talk))

Behemoth King

Behemoth King Is The Main Antagonist Of Mario Sports Mix He Is A tougher guy than Behemoth please lookout for his attacks

("The concern for the reader's well-being is admirable, at least.")

Big Scorper

Trivia

("For context, the page was named "SandWorm" before being moved. This is what happens when you're not careful with Word search & replace.")

Blargg (small)

They resemble blobby creatures with large mouths with two visible fans, and have frowning black eyes without visible sclerae.

Blindfold Boo

As they cannot see where Yoshi is located, they trust in their auditive senses to perceive the Yoshi's location and then attack.

Blooper Stack

A stack of Bloopers is formed when multiple Bloopers group up, forming a stack.

(A Blooper Stack is formed when Bloopers form a stack. By the way, what's a Pirate Goomba?)

("A Goomba that illegally downloads game ROMs on the web, of course!") - Shadic 34 (talk)

("A pirate goomba stack is a stack of pirate goomba, where pirate goombas form a stack.")

Bob-omb

(This was in the page source for, most likely, years. - Binarystep)

Bombshell Koopa

Bombshell Koopas are the most common enemy in the Super Mario Land, appearing in all levels except for 2-3 (the underwater level), and 4-3 (the flying level). Like red-shelled Koopa Troopas, Bombshell Koopas do not walk off edges, but merely pace back and forth on the platform.

(This was around for eight years before finally being fixed in 2019. -TheDarkStar (talk))

Bomubomu

They have light bodies and light balls in the Space Zone's first stage, light bodies and dark balls in the Mario Zone's second stage, and dark bodies and dark balls in the Mario Zone's final stage.

Boo

[...] booes are scared of themselves when they look in a mirror.

("...Isn't the plural boos?")

[...]

There are two types of Boos in this game. One type stays visible and does not hurt Mario until transparency is achieved, at which they can harm the heroic plumber.

[...]

Trivia
 • The boos' ability to freeze when looked at and move when not is used by aliens called Weeping Angels in the British Sci-Fi show Doctor Who.

("Someone explain to me how being forced to freeze when looked at is an ability. --Ultimate Mr. L (talk)")

Boohemoth

Not to be confused with Behemoth or Boolossus.

("Perhaps an 'Aboomination'?") — Mario (talk)

Booty Bird

They can be found in every world, in all kinds of areas, which shows that despite their weakness, they have an impressive adaptability.

Borboras

If it spots the player, it blows the player, yet it cannot hurt the player directly.

("Oh my god." - Binarystep (talk))

Bowser Monument

As the racers drive past it, the Bowser Monument punches into the track, sending ripples through the track that cause it to continuously ripple.

("And a Pirate Goomba is... what, exactly?" - OhoJeeOnFire (talk))

(" This is just full of overly complicated and silly speculation.". - WildWario (talk))

Bully

Two Bullies appear in a screenshot on the Japanese website for Super Mario 3D World. In Super Mario 3D World, the Bullies have your paper of Super Mario 64 and are defeateds how in Super Mario 64 and with your voices of Super Mario 64.

("This appears to be a literal translation from Portuguese, or a similar language. The author likely intended to say "the Bullies had their role from SM64 and are defeated like in SM64 and with their voices from SM64"." - Flippy Bear (talk))

Burt

If defeated, these rotund ballerinas will yield two Stars or three Coins.

("Wow! I didn't know that Burt took ballet! What's next, Prince Froggy taking hip-hop?")

Cherbil

Apparently, they are based off a pair of buttocks.

("I originally asked for source on this claim, but it appears both Tippi and O'Chunks imply it having a butt-like appearance. Still, this wording is funny to me." - Alex95 (talk))

[...]

Their name and abilities might also be a reference Chernobyl, a famous nuclear meltdown in Ukraine which among other things emitted toxic gasses throughout parts of Europe

[...]

Their use of gases could also make their name come from Chernobyl, a city in Ukraine which was the site of a nuclear disaster in 1986.

[...]

Cherbil's ability to attack with noxious gas may also be a reference to the Chernobyl disaster, a catastrophic event in Ukraine where the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded and released radioactive materials into the air.

("These were three separate instances of this puzzling comparison. We had to put a notice to stop adding it.") — Mario (talk)

Chomp Shark

Occasionally they are misattributed to the fictitious 'dog chomp', a false term created by the anti-shark Willuigi. This assertion is clearly wrong, and all edits to support Willuigi and his pro-dog propaganda should be swiftly deleted.

(Ah yes, Willuigi, Waluigi's evil twin brother. - Somethingone (talk))

Clambo

Clambos also appear in Donkey Kong Land. However, instead of shooting pearls, they are constantly opening and closing their spacey mantles, which makes them hard to avoid.

ComBat

ComBat are a distant relative to the Swooper, but VERY distant. They are much closer to the Catbat. ComBat live in the darkest reaches of Yoshi's Island, and nowhere else. As such, they may be found circling the Tall Tower, hunting in the Neuron Jungle, or stalking Bowser's Castle. They pose little threat to most residents, as they hunt small things such as Nomadimice. Nonetheless, ComBats will attack anything that gets too close, and are immune to most things other than eggs.

ComBat only appear in Yoshi's Story. Pictures of them are extremely rare, some of the rarest of the already rare Yoshi's Story official artwork. For those who wish to view one outside the game, it is best to buy the official guide to Yoshi's Story, which is full of the artwork.

("Laziness 101. They could've at least had a link!" - Flogger (talk) 02:27, October 27, 2019 (EDT))

Creeper

Trivia
 • Creepers may have been inspired by the actual Creepers in Minecraft.

("What makes this funny to me is that the name "Creeper" didn't even originate from Minecraft. Kingdom Hearts 2 for example, which came 5 years before Minecraft, has an enemy called a "Creeper" in it." Keyblade Master (talk))
("Whoa, it happened again in 2024!? To be honest, at this point we should even call ? Blocks a Minecraft reference because they're... based on the Lucky Block mod or something. Or just blocks." --EleCyon (talk))

Crowber

Names in other languages
Language Name Meaning Notes

Drool Hard

Drool Hards are relatives of Hanging Blow Hards but don't have the swing.

Dry Bones

Dry Bones (also known as Skeleton Koopas[citation needed])[...]

("What's funny is that the 'citation needed' was used in an FA summary." RickTommy (talk))

Trivia
 • According to the New Super Mario Bros. series, Dry Bones never walk off into pits or lava. This suggests that Dry Bones are no ordinary undead Koopa Troopas, they are undead Red Koopa Troopas, since these enemies never walk off cliffs or into pits, either. It may also be that these Koopa Troopas decided to be more careful for now on, after whatever decision they made before they died.

Eely-Mouth

Trivia
 • Even if it cannot be seen in-game, Eely-Mouth's interior is fully modeled. This likely means that it was intended early in development for Mario to swim inside of Eely-Mouth, but this feature was removed for unknown reasons.
 • If the game is hacked to get out of bounds, it can be seen that the back half of Eely-Mouth isn’t modeled, because the devs never expected the player to be able to see it.
 • It is possible via a glitch to clip through Eely-Mouth’s body and end up partially inside of it, but a second invisible barrier prevents you from getting fully inside of it.
 • One pair of Eely-Mouth’s eyes are masculine, with large eyebrows, while the other pair is feminine, with large eyelashes, meaning Eely-Mouth is potentially genderless. The male eyes release far more poisonous tear-bubbles than the female eyes do for an unknown reason.
 • Releasing a tooth on Eely-Mouth’s female side will cause it to make feminine pain sounds. Conversely, releasing a tooth on its male side will cause it to make masculine pain sounds.
 • Eely-Mouth, the Gooper Bloopers, Mecha-Bowser, King Boo, Giant Chain-Chomp, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. (only in the final battle) are the only bosses in all of Mario sunshine who do not splat into paint and die upon defeat.
 • Eely-Mouth is by far the largest enemy, boss, and character in the game, with only Bowser, Mecha-Bowser, and Phantom-Manta coming anywhere close to it in size.
 • If one were to take a very close look at Eely-Mouth’s eyes in-game or look at them through a model editor, a picture of a beta version of Ricco Harbor, complete with Mario and a few enemies, coins, and NPCs in it, can be seen reflected in them, despite the fact that Eely-Mouth isn’t fought in Ricco Harbor. This is likely because Eely-Mouth was originally meant to be fought in Ricco Harbor early in development, but this was changed at some point later on for unknown reasons.
 • Eely-Mouth bares several similarities to the Unagi Eels present in several games, specifically the one in Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine’s predecessor, as both are massive eels that live very deep underwater (only in Super Mario 64 for the Unagi Eel), are completely invulnerable to damage (Eely-Mouth’s teeth can be cleaned, causing it to permanently go back into its hole, but it cannot outright be defeated), and try to eat Mario to hurt him.
 • Though it cannot be seen in-game due to its constant rippling, the waves of it being constantly thrown around, and the fact that it is constantly turning into bubbles, the goo inside of the cauldron Bowser and Bowser Jr. are fought in during the final battle of the game has a reflection modeled on it, as can be seen via viewing the goop in a model editor.
 • There is an invisible barrier over Eely-Mouth’s hole that prevents the player from swimming into it after Eely-Mouth swims back in it once its teeth have all been cleaned and removed. This barrier cannot be glitched through in any way, but it is still possible to glitch through the crater around the hole to see the small parts of said hole that cannot normally be seen.
 • Eely-Mouth’s fins are not fully 3D modeled, and are instead just moving Jpeg images.
 • If you spray Eely-Mouth’s poison tear-bubbles for long enough, they will turn into air bubbles that will replenish your air meter.
 • In all missions after it leaves, the waters of Nooki Bay will be clean and won’t hurt Mario anymore, the Nooki depths will be repopulated with Nookis (non of which can be talked to since Mario can’t talk to NPCs underwater), who have finally returned home again since the poison is gone, and Eely-Mouth’s hole will be completely covered up, with only the crater around it remaining. Swimming back down to the crater will reveal a hidden 1-Up for you to collect.
 • It can be assumed the Bowser Jr., likely disguised as Shadow Mario, polluted Eely-Mouth with his magic brush, since it’s clearly in distress while Mario “fights” it, as it constantly cries out poisonous tear-bubbles, (which in turn means that it may not actually be intending to hurt Mario with its poisonous tear-bubbles, and instead does it because the poison causes it so much pain that it is forced to cry it out in tear-bubbles; if this is true, it is the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine with an attack it can’t control, an attack that isn’t meant to be an attack, and an attack that isn’t meant to hurt Mario), and it appears to be happy and thankful to Mario after he cleans and removes its teeth, as it leaves behind a large amount of coins in the shape of a heart after it leaves.
 • Because of the nature of its “fight”, Eely-Mouth is the Only Boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine to never actually be attacked, fought or defeated; instead, Mario simply cleans and removes its teeth whilst avoiding its poison tears and its attempts to eat him, and once all of its teeth are cleaned and removed, it simply swims back into its hole and leaves a bunch of coins as a reward for curing it of its pollution.
 • Eely-Mouth is the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that is fought underwater.
 • Eely-Mouth is the only boss in all of Super Mario Sunshine that Mario “fights” with the fish-bowl on his head.
 • Because it is “fought” underwater to begin with, Eely Mouth does not react to being sprayed by F.L.U.U.D.
 • Eely-Mouth, King Boo, Mecha-Bowser, Phantom-Manta, Bowser, Bowser Jr. (only in the final battle), Giant Chain-Chomp, and Wiggler are the only bosses in all of Super Mario Sunshine that are only ever fought once in the game.
 • The maximum amount of Eely-Mouth’s poison tear-bubbles that can be present on screen at once is unknown and cannot be seen in-game because the poison tear-bubbles pop before the limit is ever reached, so there’s never enough of them on screen at once for any new ones created by Eely-Mouth to be forced to despawn.

Goombas resemble mushrooms very closely. It is important that when playing Super Mario that a Goomba is not mistaken for a mushroom. Goombas are very hard to destroy, however, they appear to be small and weak looking.

("If Goombas are 'very hard to destroy,' I question what is very easy to destroy.")

Hyper Spiky Goomba

A Hyper Spiky Goomba is a Hyper Goomba with a spike on its head. It has extremely powerful attacks, and it itself is not easy to take down, either, with that nasty spike on its head. Ordinarily, their attack power is three, but when Charged, watch out for an incredible nine attack point attack. Mario needs to really stay on his toes with this Goomba.

Ice Cherbil

An Ice Cherbil is a semi-common enemy from Super Paper Mario, found in various locations such as the Yold Desert, the Overthere Stair or the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. These blue counterparts of Cherbils blow icy clouds at the four heroes, which can freeze them in a block of solid ice. Shaking the Wii Remote repeatedly is the only way to break the icicle. Ice Cherbils are also immune to ice attacks, as their name implies, although they can still be frozen.

K-9

Curiously, instead of running away from the invincible Mario, the K-9s will foolishly continue to home in on Mario, running right into him and being instantly destroyed.

The vandalism was reverted nine hours after it was made, but the vandal soon struck back and replaced the content with that of another Wikipedia page, this time the article about the Star Wars character Jango Fett (a reference to Klepto's Japanese name). Because of the sheer length as well as the amount of broken coding involved, those revisions aren't directly archived on BJAODN. Later, the same user struck again and replaced everything with the words "ing what was that for for dead", which was reverted 2 minutes later.)

Koopa Troop

The Koopa Troop [...] is a militaristic dictatorship led by Bowser, King of the Koopas. [...] According to Kammy Koopa in Paper Mario, the motive for the clan is to have revenge against all who have treated Koopas poorly. However, most of their clear goals some based entirely on Bowser's own interest.

("The fine example of imposing a little too much darkness in what is an otherwise fantasy, gleeful series aimed at all ages." - BLOF)

("'The Koopa Troop is a militaristic dictatorship.' Damn, really? All I see are Koopa Troopas dancing to sound effects, and foolishly falling in pits.") - Shadic 34 (talk)

The Koopa Troop is unstoppable. Bowser has an unlimited supply of soldiers; the Koopa Troop also has an massive army such as (with tanks), a maritime navy (with battleships), an air force (with airships), and a space fleet with massive spacecrafts as seen in the Super Mario Galaxy series. Despite having such a huge military, the Koopa Troop is continuously defeated by the legendary Mario Brothers, the heroes of the Mushroom Universe, as well as those who assist the Mario Bros. on their missions to protect the Mushroom Universe (such as Toads).

("How can you be defeated if you're unstoppable!?" -BLOF)

Koopa Troopa

Biology

The Koopa Troopas' most known caracterist is their shells, that resmbles turtles' shells (this fact has formed a rumor that Koopa Troopas are turtles). Another famous caracterist is their shell's protection that can be knocked, attacking other enemies (as seen in many platform games).

Physical Appearance

Koopa Troopas' shells comes in four colors: green, red, yellow and blue. The most known are the green and red ones, specially, the green ones.

All Koopa Troopas have a gold-yellow skin and a big snout. They also have light brown joints at their chests and abdomen (as seen in Bowser), however, this part of their body are covered with their shells.

Koopa Troopas also use shoes of the same color of their shells.

Speech

In the course of the Mario franchise, Koopa Troopas are seen to have English as their native language. In the games that character's voices aren't shown speaking phrases, Koopa Troopas make owl-like sounds, having English just legenged. This can be because Koopa Troopas have their own language, that Mario (or other characters) can understand. In Paper Mario series, all Koopa Troopas knows only speak English. Also having Koopa Troopas partners speaking this same language, through speaking bubbles.

Gender

Koopa Troopas have their gender differences, being male or female. An exemple is a Mario Party 5 mini-game called Flower Shower. This mini-game presents the marriage of two Koopa Troopas (one using a bow tie [a common man garment] and other using a bow [a common woman garment]).

Reproduction

Are not known if the Koopa Troopas' reproduction is sexually or asexually, however, are known that they born from eggs, just like Yoshis.

For Peach's team, a Koopa has a light pink skin color, while its shell and shoes are bright azure blue, and the uniform is hot pink and bright azure blue. For Daisy's team, a Koopa has a tangerine orange skin color, while its shell and shoes are standard orange, and the uniform is emerald green and standard orange. For Yoshi's team, a Koopa has an old gold skin color, while its shell and shoes are dark navy blue, and the uniform is dark navy blue and orange. For Donkey Kong's team, a Koopa has an old gold skin color, while its shell and shoes are mint green, and the uniform is chestnut brown and mint green. For Wario's team, a Koopa retains its default yellow skin color, while its shell and shoes are bright yellow, and the uniform is purple and bright yellow. For Waluigi's team, a Koopa has a pale tan skin color, while its shell and shoes are violet, and the uniform is black and violet.

Krash

Trivia
 • The Krashes in Donkey Kong 64 also strangely resemble the current design of a Kritter, even though the Kritters were not redesigned until DK: King of Swing, 6 years later.

Kritter

Not all Kremlings are bad, though; some, such as K. Lumsy and the Kritter goalies of Mario Smash Football seem to be decent individuals

("See, you say that, but how do we know the league isn't extremely lax about the criminal records of their players?" --Lord Grammaticus)

("So why are the Kritter goalies being considered decent individuals? Because they play soccer? Does that mean Wario and the Hammer Bros are decent individuals too? How about characters from later entries, such as Petey Piranha and Boom Boom? Are they decent individuals as well?" -Arend (talk))

Kroc

Trivia
 • Some one thinks Kroc is the 8th scariest thing in a Nintendo game. He also thinks Kroc uses King K Rool's vocals.

Kuff 'n' Klout

Kuff 'n' Klout (also known as the Kremling Twins[1]) are extra-big, beefed-up Kremlings in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Even stronger and burlier than the massive Krumples, Kuff 'n' Klout are found only in Krematoa. They first appear in Stampede Sprint and Criss Kross Cliffs, and they even have their very own underground level, called Tyrant Twin Tussle, where they attack by playing a game of leapfrog and by racing about the screen, shoulder to shoulder.

The Kremling Twins are nearly invincible, since they can only be defeated by using barrels, by using Squitter's webs, and theoretically, Ellie's trunk squirting and Squawks's egg spitting. If only one of them is defeated, the other will continue to charge and then disappear when Dixie or Kiddy go offscreen, or target them to avenge his fallen counterpart (SNES version), or remain motionless and suddenly disappear a few seconds later (GBA version). According to the game's credits, Kuff 'n' Klout belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.

Torpedo Teds first appeared in Super Mario World and resided in Soda Lake. Mario and Yoshi encountered Torpedo Teds during their adventures in Dinosaur Land. Torpedo Teds moved fairly fast and could be hard to avoid due to the narrow pathways within Soda Lake. This enemy can be defeated with a star, because this sprite was not progammed for invincibility glitch because: They give many lives when "bounce" in the player. But this star may be in code or by the level editor.

("Actually, it turns out that this behavior can be seen in an official game, because Luigi's new ability for Yoshi to spit out enemies allows for the spat-out Blurps to defeat the Torpedo Teds, and they have the same glitchy behavior as if you'd defeated them in Super Mario World. Of course, the fact is still irrelevant for the original game, because Yoshi spitting enemies isn't in that version and you can't bring a Starman to a Torpedo Ted in either version." - P-Tux7 (talk))
