Spin Boosting
Mario, Bowser, and Luigi spin-boosting with each other in Mario Kart 8

A Spin Boost (known as a Spin Turbo in the British English versions) is a driving technique in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The technique can be used only in anti-gravity. When drivers in anti-gravity mode collide with each other, they each perform a Spin Boost, causing them to spin with a blue circle effect around themselves and gain a speed boost, as well as propelling them away from each other slightly. Drivers can also receive Spin Boosts from driving into Spin Boost Pillars.
