Ice Piranha Plant

Template:Species-infobox Venus Ice Traps are a special variety of Piranha Plant first found in New Super Mario Bros. U. They are similar to Fire Piranha Plants, but spit Ice Balls instead of Fireballs. Unlike Frost Piranhas, another ice-based Piranha Plant sub-species, Ice Piranha Plants bear a red coloration.

New Super Mario Bros. U

Venus Ice Traps make their first appearance in New Super Mario Bros. U. They look and act similar to Venus Fire Traps, but shoot Ice Balls, which can are capable of freezing playable characters as well as other enemies. They inhabit the world of Rock-Candy Mines, where three of them appear in the level Fuzzy Clifftop; two in a Warp Pipe, one on the ceiling.

New Super Luigi U

Venus Ice Traps also appear in the DLC New Super Luigi U. In this game, they appear in Frosted Glacier with the same functions. Template:BoxTop Template:Piranhas
