"Event Battle" is a theme composed for Paper Mario: The Origami King. It is played on synth and electric guitar, and used for various mandatory battles throughout the game:

• The first battle in the game, against the Goomba atop Peach's Castle
• The Scaredy Rat and Swoop that corner Mario in the Graffiti Underground
• The Shy Guy trying to steal the Shell Stone in Picnic Road
• The Goombas that ambush Mario after he rides the elevator in Overlook Tower
• The Goomba ambush in Shogun Studios
• The Ninji ambush in the Ninja Attraction
• The Scuttlebugs in The Princess Peach
• The Disco Hall ambush in the Temple of Shrooms
• The Sidesteppers on Full Moon Island
• The Fire Bros. on Hammer Island
• The Sledge Bro in the Ice Vellumental Mountain
• The Sidesteppers in the Sea Tower
• The Goombas in the spa in Shangri-Spa
• The Chargin' Chucks in Shangri-Spa
• The Big Cutout Soldier ambush in the pillar room of Bowser's Castle
• The Li'l Cutout Soldier ambush in the main hall of Bowser's Castle
• The Fire Bros. in Origami Castle

The "Thinking" variant of the track removes the main melody. In the Musée Champignon, "Event Battle" and its thinking variation are found in the Red Streamer section of the Sound Gallery.

In the Tetris 99 crossover with Paper Mario: The Origami King, "Event Battle" plays when there are 50 players remaining in a match.
