Moon Pedestals[1] are stone daises in Super Mario Odyssey, bearing the icon of a Power Moon. A Power Moon is usually floating above it, or appears after the completion of objectives. These pedestals represent required storyline objectives and checkpoints that must be completed in order to progress the game, such as multi-step puzzles or the defeat of a boss.
