Winged Strollin' Stus,[1] also referred to as winged Goombas,[2] Name Kuri (wings),[3] and Swipin' Stus (Blue)[4] (as opposed to Swipin' Stus (Green)), are enemies in Super Mario Sunshine. They are a flying variety of Strollin' Stu, resembling one but with a peach-colored skin and a blue bottom. Each Winged Strollin' Stu has no feet and a pair of wings that flutter rapidly. Winged Strollin' Stus idly hover in place, and if Mario is nearby, a Winged Strollin' Stu starts to fly towards him. When directly above Mario, a Winged Strollin' Stu swoops down, taking away a wedge of his life meter upon contact. A Winged Strollin' Stu can be defeated from either FLUDD or a stomp. In secret courses, Winged Strollin' Stus fly back and forth along a fixed trajectory. Winged Strollin' Stus have a larger, green variety named Swipin' Stu.
