Tattle Log #: 15 |
The Shady Paratroopa (or S. Paratroopa) is a Paratroopa with a blue shell and slightly darker skin coloration that appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Only one appears in the game as part of the seventh-ranked Shellshockers team in the Glitz Pit, and is fought alongside Shellshock and a second Shady Koopa.
Data for the Shady Paratroopas can be found within the data of Super Paper Mario.
Battle
Like Shady Koopas, Shady Paratroopas have an attack power of 3, and they attack by diving at Mario like other Paratroopas. When stomped, they lose their wings and revert to normal Shady Koopas; performing any Action Command that results in landing multiple jump attacks will put them on their back once they fall. As with the Shady Koopa, Goombella's Tattle dialogue and the Tattle Log erroneously state that their attack increases when they get back up; instead, they use a shell attack while on their back that hits both Mario and his partner, and has twice the base power of their normal attack.
