Mario & Luigi: Brothership is an upcoming game in the Mario & Luigi series set to be released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on November 7, 2024. First announced during the Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024, it is the sixth original installment in the Mario & Luigi series, the eighth installment overall, the first original Mario & Luigi game since Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, released almost nine years prior, and the first game overall since Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, released almost six years prior. It is also the first Mario & Luigi title to be released on a home console, the first game since to be developed by the succeeding company for the series' original developer, AlphaDream, which ceased operations immediately after filing for bankruptcy on October 1, 2019, and the first game in the series to utilize Mario and Luigi's new voice actor Kevin Afghani, who replaced Charles Martinet starting with Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Plot

The sea of the world of Concordia acts as the game's primary setting. Shipshape Island is a structure described as "part ship, part island" and is depicted as the main hub. Mario and Luigi will launch themselves out of the Shipshape's cannon to explore new, distinct islands.[1]
