The Winter Tour was the thirty-second tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on December 2, 2020 and ended on December 15, 2020. It introduced a new course themed after the North Pole and Santa's workshop, aptly named Merry Mountain, as well as a new variant of Bowser in Christmas attire, while Mario (Santa) and Yoshi (Reindeer) reappeared as the second week's spotlights. For the duration of the tour, the Lakitu referee also wore a Christmas-themed costume, and the festive trees from the 2019 Winter Tour, the London Tour, and the 2019 Holiday Tour returned. A new bonus challenge called "Take them out quick!" was also introduced, where the player is tasked with taking out all of their Mega opponent's balloons before the time runs out. This tour's Coin Rush course was DK Pass, which was reused from 2019's Winter Tour. The menu's background featured the present tower of Merry Mountain as the landmark for this tour. This tour's trailer featured falling snow during its opening splash screen.
