Supermassive Galaxy is the first galaxy of World 4 in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. Supermassive Galaxy depicts many common Mario enemies and elements at an extraordinary size. Some include Piranha Plants, Lumas, coins and Platforms. The concept can be compared to that of Giant Land from Super Mario Bros. 3 or the 'huge' part of Tiny-Huge Island in Super Mario 64, in which enemies, blocks, and other objects were also giant compared to Mario himself. Mario can traverse across giant Warp Pipes and Blocks. Many enemies here include Giant Goombas, Big Paragoombas, Big Koopa Troopas, Super Piranha Plants, Big Wigglers and Big Thwomps. The Giant Goombas and Big Paragoombas can be defeated the normal way, by spinning and kicking, and the Big Koopa Troopas can only be defeated by using a Spin Drill. Super Piranha Plants, Big Wigglers, and Big Thwomps cannot be defeated.

Many enemies here include Giant Goombas, Big Paragoombas, Giant Koopas, Super Piranha Plants, Big Wigglers and Big Thwomps. The Giant Goombas and Big Paragoombas can be defeated the normal way, by spinning and kicking, and the Giant Koopas can only be defeated by using a Spin Drill. Super Piranha Plants, Big Wigglers, and Big Thwomps cannot be defeated.

NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all names are unofficial.

Starting Planet

Mario on the Starting Planet.

The Starting Planet is an area made of Brick Blocks. A giant Luma is found on it. The player will encounter several giant enemies such as Giant Goombas, Super Piranha Plants and Big Thwomps. Most of them are invincible. The Comet Medal can be found near one of the Giant Goombas. There is also a giant Warp Pipe serving as an elevator and a giant Coin which the player can perform a Wall Jump off of to progress. The Launch Star can be found near two Big Thwomps. There is also is a shortcut by long jumping off the top of the first Big Thwomp. If the player performs a spin, they can break the gravitational pull and land on the Giant Koopas Planet.

Giant Koopas Planet

Mario and the Giant Koopas on the Big Koopas Planet.

This circle-shaped dirt planet is the second planet that players visit in this galaxy. It is populated by three Giant Koopas that continuously walk around it counterclockwise. It looks slightly similar to the planet in the Spin-Dig Galaxy where players fight Digga-Leg. They must use the Spin Drill found on this planet to defeat the three Giant Koopas.

On this planet, if players can jump repeatedly on any Giant Koopa shell eight times in a row and then continue to do so, they can earn extra lives until the total is 99.

Giant Star Chips Planet

Luigi on the Giant Star Chips Planet.

Like the first one, this planet is made of giant Brick Blocks. However, the first path is made up of large Star Chips. Another giant Luma is seen here, as well as Giant Goombas, Super Piranha Plants and Big Paragoombas. At the end of the planet, there is a series of yellow moving platforms. They will disappear as time progresses, so the player has to jump on them with timed movements. The Launch Star here will take the player to the Blooming Garden planet.

Giant Warp Pipe Planet

This planet is not accessed, but Mario flies through it after being launched by the second Launch Star from the Giant Koopas Planet. There are Star Bits found on the walls.

Blooming Garden Planet

When the player lands on this planet, they'll notice it to be just a simple, grassy planet. However, when the player walks around it, flowers will start to appear and bloom. When the flowers completely cover the planet, a vine will sprout, allowing the player to reach the hidden Power Star and complete the mission.

Stone Tube Planet

This planet is shaped like a cylinder made of stones. This planet is inhabited by Big Wigglers, the last two being enraged and running at a faster pace than the others. The player can get past them by using the Long Jump. The Power Star for Huge Trouble With Big Wigglers is located on top of a pole at the end of this planet.

Green Stars

The player will redo the Huge Trouble with Big Wigglers mission. The first Green Star is located on the first planet. The player has to perform a triple jump off the edge of the giant coin to get it.

Green Star 2

Mario about to grab the second Green Star.

The player will redo the Huge Trouble with Big Wigglers once more. The second green star is located below the second Brick Blocks found where the Big Thwomps are falling. The player has to fall carefully to get it. If they miss the star, they'll lose a life and must restart from the beginning. An alternate, but riskier way, is to long jump from the green pipes on the opposite side.

The player will redo the Huge Trouble with Big Wigglers for the final time. The final green star is located on the Giant Koopas Planet. The player has to perform a triple jump to reach it or, alternately, jump on one of the Giant Koopas and bounce up to the Green Star.
