Tattle

That's a Hyper Bald Cleft. Like Clefts and Bald Clefts, this is also a rock monster. Max HP is 3, Attack is 2, and Defense is 2. This hyper version can build up its energy, boosting its Attack to 8 on the next turn. It has low HP, but its body is rock-hard and impervious to fire, making it super-tough. It says here that item attacks are pretty effective. Beat it before it goes hyper!

A Hyper Bald Cleft (or H. Bald Cleft) is a variation of the Cleft species that appears only in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. As with other Hyper variants, it can empower itself with the Charged status effect. Its attack power is two, but when Charge is in use, it becomes eight. If the player tattles the Cleft with Goombella, Goombella recommends using attack items to defeat it. Cleftor and his teammates are the only Hyper Bald Clefts in the game.

Trivia
- Hyper Bald Clefts are the only hyper enemies in the game not to appear in Twilight Trail. Coincidentally, they are also the only hyper enemies that appear in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door not to originate in Paper Mario.
