Extreme Patty-Cake is one of Kat & Ana’s Microgames in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and returns as one of Jimmy T's microgames in WarioWare Gold.
Gameplay[edit]
A person stands in front of the player character with their hands facing the player for a competition, which is patty cake in English versions but is a different competition in each localization of the game. In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the player is represented by a pair of floating gloves, while they have normal arms and hands in WarioWare Gold. The player must shove the opponent's hands, using the in Smooth Moves or
in Gold, to make them fall down.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves[edit]
- Level 1: The opponent is a girl who stands still. When she falls over, two mushrooms bounce.
- Level 2: The opponent is a boy who moves his hands slowly between facing the player and spreading them such that they do not face the player. They can only be knocked down while their hands are facing the player. If the player misses the opponent's hands, the player unable to push again until their hands return to the starting position, wasting time. When the boy falls down, two flowers bloom and the volcano in the background erupts. In the Korean version, the volcano turns into giant flowers.
- Level 3: The opponent is a man who moves his hands between the two states quickly. A giant cat eats him (except in the Korean version) and a giant dog shakes its backside when he falls down.
WarioWare Gold[edit]
In WarioWare Gold, the microgame is cleared upon the final successful shove, with the resulting animation not mattering.
- Level 1: The opponent is a man who moves his hands between the two states slowly. It takes place in a mostly clear wooded area.
- Level 2: The opponent is a man who moves his hands between the two states quickly. It takes place at a dock, and the man will be pushed into the sea. One leg will stick out from the water.
- Level 3: The opponent is a boy named Stan Firm who moves his hands between the two states constantly. Pushing him once only forces him to lean backward. The player must hit him twice for him to fall over. The recovery time for the first successful shove is very short compared to unsuccessful shoves. The game takes place just in front of the ocean, similarly but not identically to Level 2, and instead of landing in the water Stan Firm is captured by a giant flying rooster.
