Labyrinth is one of Dribble & Spitz's microgames in WarioWare Gold.
Gameplay[edit]
The setup emulates a first-person maze video game. The player must navigate through a labyrinth using a mini-map to locate a treasure chest. On the mini-map, the player's position and direction are indicated by a red arrow, and the chest by a yellow circle. Merely standing in front of the treasure chest is sufficient to open it and win as no further input is needed at that point.
- 1st level difficulty: The labyrinth is small, viewable in its entirety on the mini-map from the start. Three steps are required to reach the treasure chest. The walls are simple and made of gray bricks covered in moss, whose textures resemble a 16-bit game.
- 2nd level difficulty: The labyrinth is larger than in the first level, but still fully displayed on the mini-map at the start of the game. Four steps are required to reach the treasure chest. The maze uses more sophisticated graphics, with realistic albeit blurry textures of golden brown bricks, and curved pilasters with yellow lamps at the corners of walls.
- 3rd level difficulty: The labyrinth is large enough not to be fully viewable on the mini-map; the treasure chest is also not visible on the mini-map from the start, requiring the player to move first in order to locate it. Visually, the entire maze features vaulted ceiling, and elaborate stone floor and brick wall patterns.
