Chapter 1[edit]
キノコ
Tired of being left alone to play pretend in their house, Baby Mario offers a suggestion to Baby Luigi: still hungry for justice, Baby Mario proposes to establish a rescue squad to help the citizen of the world. While they prepare their base, Yoshi comes to visit them and joins the squad, named Yossy Helper Team. Looking for incidents, Baby Mario turns the TV on: on the news ok TVK, the news anchor informs of the birth/delivery of Mushroom King's daughter, who is revealed to be the baby girl Baby Mario met on Yoshi's Island: the King presents her to the Mushroom Kingdom, bestowing on her the name of Peach, as she is sweet as a peach fruit. Meanwhile, Kamek and Baby Bowser hear on the radio about the news, and decide to attack the castle to take Baby Peach, so that Baby Bowser can have another shot at flirting with her. To do so, Kamek sends a Nipper Spore to the Mushroom Castle.
Landing in the moat, the Spore grows into Naval Piranha, provocking an earthwuack and cracks in the ground, in one of which Baby Peach falls, while Naval Piranha grows, trapping the entire palace in its thorny vines. Seeing that, the Yossy Helper Team is on the move: Yoshi turns in a helicopter and takes the baby brothers to the Mushroom Castle. As they approach the palace, a few Naval Bud lunge at them. Baby Mario tells Yoshi to turn into something that can attack, so he quickly switches to submarine, shoots torpedos at the buds, then returns to normal to grab onto the castle's balcony, meeting up with the King, his advisor Jī, and the guests. The King is at first skeptical of being rescued by babies, but Baby Mario responds that age does not matter, and that Baby Peach once helped him before and she was not even born yet. More trusting, the King directs Mario to the crevice where the princess fell.
Lowering down with Yoshi's tongue, Baby Mario navigates the thorny labything and finds Baby Peach, happy to be able to repay the debt. Just then, Baby Bowser appears, exposing his plans to marry Baby Peach. The princess, however, still refuses his advances and slaps him. Kamek appears and, using his broomstick, knocks out Baby Mario, then proceeds to hypnotize Peach to make her like Baby Bowser. Offended by Kamek's remark that "now she will have no trouble in liking his lizard-like face", Baby Bowser punches Kamek, but in doing so the hypnosis spell breaks and Baby Peach continues to slap and kick him. Meanwhile, hearing the fight, Baby Luigi and Yoshi, in Mole Tank form, dig down and reach Baby Mario and Baby Peach. Kamek tries to stop them by summoning more Naval Buds, but Yoshi puts them down with the submarine form's torpedoes.
As more arrive, Baby Mario orders Yoshi to take them out and he turns into Car Yoshi, but finds himself coiled by Naval Piranha's vine. Baby Bowser then gives an ultimatum: either they give him Baby Peach, or he will order Naval Piranha to eat the Mushroom King, who was just trapped in the plant's mouth. Mario finds a way out: he spots the main root and orders Yoshi to transform into a helicopter, and use his blades to cut off the vines and root. Doing so, Naval Piranha dies, releasing the King and the Rescue Team. Worried, Baby Bowser and Kamek flee. The King thanks the rescue team and the trio returns to the base: the day is saved.
Chapter 2[edit]
In the Mushroom Kingdom countryside, Kinoppe is attacked by a Harry Hedgehog. Dr. Mario, hearing her yell, comes to her rescue, shooting away the Hedgehog, but the damage is done: she was stung and the poison is now in her body, in a matter of one hour she will succumb to it. The Dr. Mario, stuck in his countryside clinic, calls the medical center, asking that they send Bombay Blood to make a transfusion. Unfortunately, due to the rarity of the blood type, only the Mushroom Kingdom Hospital has it, and even by helicopter it would take two hours to reach Dr. Mario's countryside clinic, but fortunately for his situation: the bullet train Akai Pegasus is about to make its maiden voyage and will arrive in the countryside.
Meanwhile, in Toad Town, TVK informs that during the maiden voyage the Mushroom King, his daughter, and their butler. This attracts the attention of Baby Bowser, willing to try again his plan to marry Baby Peach. On the train there are also Kinopio-san with the Bombay Blood and Baby Mario in incognito, worried for a potential attack at Baby Peach. Right then, Kamek makes three Bob-ombs appear in the head wagon, blowing up the control panel. However, Kamek was planning to hijack the train by force stopping it, instead all that it did was destroy the brake system. As the passengers start to panic, Baby Mario reveals himself and contacts Baby Luigi and Yoshi to come.
Everyone starts to calm down, but Kamek and Baby Bowser teleport inside the wagon. Since his magic prevents him from teleporting three people at once, Kamek hypnotizes the train conductor to order him to stop, but he explains he cannot. Calling his presumed-bluff, Kamek activates a bomb that blows up an upcoming bridge, hoping to force the conductor to stop, but he is instead beaten up and knocked out by Mario, the conductor, and a Dancing Spear Guy train monitor. Baby Bowser is confused at the scene, but when Baby Peach explains the trouble he put them all in, he realizes Kamek accidentally doomed them too. As the train approaches the destroyed bridge, Helicopter Yoshi and Baby Luigi arrive and they bend the cut-off tracks upwards. Baby Mario then guides everyone to the tail wagon. He tries to convince Baby Bowser, but he refuses to listen to him, so Mario disconnects the wagons.
As the passenger-filled wagon slows down, the first wagons of the train, where Baby Bowser stubbornly decided to stay with the unconscious Kamek, fly off the bended tracks and into the sky, while the last wagon loses speed and comes to a halt. The day is saved, but Kinopio-san has still to deliver the Bombay Blood. Baby Mario takes it and, with the help of Baby Luigi and Helicopter Yoshi reach the other side of the destroyed bridge, meet up with Dr. Mario (who witnessed the whole event from the nearby train station), and then drive fast with Car Yoshi to the clinic (running over the Harry Hedgehog) and Kinoppe gets the transfusion with one minute to spare. The Doctor thanks the rescue team and the trio returns to the base: the day is saved.
In the last panel, the train is revealed to be floating in space. Kamek has woken up but now thinks he is a seagull, preventing him from teleporting him and Baby Bowser back to Earth.
Chapter 3[edit]
Back on Yoshi Island, the other Yoshis still spend their days lazing around on the beach with Poochy. Suddenly, the dog's leg cramps during his swim and he gets swept away from the current, unbeknownst to the Yoshis.
Meanwhile, in Baby Bowser's cardboard base, Baby Bowser and Kamek are watching TVK, discovering that Baby Peach is gonna board the Q. Peach cruise ship in a three-week trip around the world with her father and butler, so they get on the move. Meanwhile, as Jī prepares the itinerary (including visiting the newlyborn Princess Daisy and Japan's prime minister), Peach reveals she is just a vacation trip with the tax-payer money. Jī gets worried for a moment, since there are a lot of paparazzi on the ship, but they fortunately do not care. On the ship, the Yossy Helper Team is also present incognito as guests.
As the ship enters the Mushroom Strait Canal, the ship comes to a sudden halt, seemling by running aground. The Yossy Helper Team reveals themselves and goes to investigate with Submarine Yoshi. The cause behind the halt was a strange rock formation, trapping the ship in position, and unfortunately Submarine Yoshi's torpedoes are not scratching it. Yoshi proposes to use the helicopter form to raise the ship, but even with the combined help of the other Yoshis (who arrive to the scene) nothing works. To make matters worse, another ship enters the canal, and even more concerning is the fact that it is an oil tanker: if the ships collide, everyone will blow up. Baby Luigi tries to use the flag signals to ask them to stop, but the oil tanker's engine is faulty and is unable to stop.
Just then, Kamek and Baby Bowser arrive, revealing their evil intentions, but Baby Mario yells at them to stop being selfish, then orders Kamek to help the Yoshi's with his broomstick too. Hoping to appear good in Baby Peach's eyes, Baby Bowser asks Kamek to turn him giant so that he can block the oil tanker. Kamek and the Yoshis reprise to pull the ship, but the vinegar reaches its time limit and the Yoshis turn back to normal. As Baby Bowser reminds that even his transformation has a time limit, Baby Mario starts to lose hope: he is clearly not cut to form or to lead a rescue team, but Baby Peach conforts him, and tells him that he has a star inside him.
Believing in himself, Mario manifests a Star and transforms into Powerful Mario. With his strenght alone, he raises the ship out of the water (Kamek, still attached to the ship, flinches and falls into the chimney), alongside the rock, which is revealed to be an enlarged Poochy who remained trapped underwater. Just then Mega Baby Bowser's transformation expires and he falls on the dock of the oil tanker, who passes by underneath the Q. Peach. Poochy is removed from under the ship, while Yoshi starts to remove all the water the dog absorbed, turning him bigger. Back to his normal size, Poochy wakes up and snuggles Baby Mario in gratitude. The passengers thanks the rescue team, who grew in number, and the team returns to the base: the day is saved.
Meanwhile, Baby Bowser remained on the oil tanker and ended up in the Middle East.
Chapter 4[edit]
The Yossy Helper Team keeps finding mountains to climb with more and more places recuiring their help, but they always manage to save the day and TVK always finds something to talk about it. The evergrowing newscast of their actions leads Baby Peach to stay up late to catch the broadcasts. Her obsession for the rescue team, and interest in their leader, grows so big that she decides to stage a fire in her room. Having heard the news, the Yossy Helper Team flies to the Mushroom Castle, only to find Baby Peach grilling fish and raising smoke clouds. Baby Mario scolds her for putting such dangerous act just to call them over, and when she asks to join them to avoid another fake call, Baby Mario refuses, claiming that they can let someone with such mentality join the rescue team. The trio departs in indignation, leaving Baby Peach to weep over the situation. Just then, Kamek and Baby Bowser appear in her room, having heard that she was involved in a fire accident, and kidnaps her.
The next day, the Yossy Helper Team learns of her kidnapping on TV, where Baby Bowser hijacks the broadcast to send a message to the Yossy Helper Team to come and face him to save Baby Peach. The rescue team prepares themselves and calls the other Yoshis for support, but Baby Mario decides to stay at the base, sure that this is another one of Baby Peach's stunts. Baby Luigi and the Yoshi arrive at Baby Bowser's secret base, only to be trapped in an electrical force field. Perceving Baby Peach and his teammate's cries for help, Baby Mario realizes Baby Peach is in serious trouble and gets on the move with the help of Poochy.
Meanwhile, the force field machine overloads and a nearby electricity pole explodes. While the Yossy Helper Team are now free but knocked down, an exposed electric wire falls on Baby Bowser's cardboard base, setting it ablaze and trapping Kamek, Baby Bowser, and Baby Peach in a fiery prison (fearing for his life, Kamek forgets he could teleport them away). Poochy and Baby Mario arrive, the latter uses his "inside star power" to turn into Powerful Mario and flies inside the base, grabs the victims, and takes them outside to safety. Baby Bowser and Kamek thank Baby Mario, while Baby Peach asks for forgiveness for her stunt the previous night. Glad that she learned her lesson, Baby Mario gives her a Yossy Helper Team sash: she can be part of their team.
After taking her back home, Baby Peach thanks the rescue team and they return to the base: the day is saved.

Cameos and caricatures[edit]
Fictional works[edit]
- Mr. Kinpachi in Class 3B: when Baby Bowser explains that he plans to marry Baby Peach, Baby Mario points out that they are not of legal age. Baby Bowser responds that they could do like in the Japanese TV drama Mr. Kinpachi in Class 3B and follow what happens in the「十五歳の母」(Jū Go-sai no Haha) episodes. The series is a social commentary on heavy themes for middle and high-schoolers (such as homosexuality and depression). The episodes Baby Bowser mentions are about Ikeuchi Shika, the titular "Fifteen-Year-Old Mother" who has to deal with teenage pregnancy.
- Akai Pegasus: chapter 2's bullet train is named after a late '70s Shogakukan manga series.
Real-life people[edit]
- Ryutaro Hashimoto: the former Japanese Prime Minister is mentioned by Jī as one of the people Baby Peach will meet in her cruise trip stops.
Fictional characters[edit]
- Goku (Dragon Ball): while taking out Baby Peach, Baby Bowser, and Kamek out of the firey building, Powerful Mario appears to have Goku's Super Sayian bangs.

Notes[edit]
