Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS Super Mario Challenge levels

World 2-1 is the first level of World 2 of the Super Mario Challenge from Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS. It is set in the underwater theme and the Super Mario Bros. style.

Overview[edit]

This level is nearly identical to Sunken Mario, the twenty-first sample course in Super Mario Maker (Wii U); both levels feature depictions of Super Mario Bros. objects made out of course elements, depicting (left to right) Small Mario, a Super Mushroom, a Super Star, a Coin, and a Fire Flower. There are some differences, however; for example, the level's eight Hidden Blocks now have Coins surrounding them, making the Super Stars inside easier to find. A ninth Super Star can be found in the ? Block that forms the tip of the pixel-art Mario's nose, while a Super Mushroom can be found in the lowest ? Block in the pixel-art Super Mushroom. There are also fewer Goombas than there were in the original, especially at the goal, making the Bowser challenge (see below) easier. Moreover, Bonus Music now plays throughout the level.

Medals[edit]

  • Goomba - Get at least five lives using a Super Star and then reach the goal
  • Bowser - Defeat all Goombas by jumping on them and then reach the goal
