Goombas wearing Ice Skates appear in Super Mario 3D World, only appearing in the levels Snowball Park and Ty-Foo Flurries. They reappear in its Nintendo Switch Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. If the player character gets close to one, they start skating toward them. Coming into contact with an Ice Skate Goomba will damage the character, though the Goomba can be defeated like any other Goomba. Some of them will drop their Ice Skate if defeated.
In the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, two cat-like Goombas wearing Ice Skates appear at the beginning of Slipskate Slope if the current mission is "Key to the Cat Shine", while more are also seen after the competition of all missions.
These Goombas reappear in Dr. Mario World, in the second half of World 26 alongside Penguins, after the area is cleared of Viruses.
