Boss Brolder is a boss that appears in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. He is a large Brolder covered with pieces of rock and crystal of various sizes. He has glowing yellow eyes and his arms are made of lava.
History[edit]
Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]
Boss Brolder serves as a reocurring boss. His main attack is attempting to roll into the player, much like normal Brolders. After taking damage, he will spin around and scatter several flaming rocks in different directions. Later in the fight, he targets one of the players while he is spinning, slowly moving towards them. Boss Brolder also summons Brolders in the fight to assist him. If a Brolder is hit by one of Boss Brolder's attacks, they will be destroyed instantly. Boss Brolder can only be damaged by tossing other Brolders at him. After three hits, Boss Brolder is defeated.
Boss Brolder is first encountered as the boss of Lava Rock Lair, the final stage of World 4. He later reappears in Brolder Blockade Is Back, now with Splorches aiding him in the fight. In addition, Boss Brolder glows brighter than before, and his boss music does not play. This appearance makes him the only boss fought both at the end of a world and in an Enemy Battle. Finally, he appears again in Boss Blitz, with the same strategy as in his first encounter in World 4.
Boss Brolder shares his boss theme with King Ka-thunk and Motley Bossblob.
Mario Tennis Fever[edit]
The emblem of the Volcano Racket in Mario Tennis Fever resembles Boss Brolder. This racket's Fever Shot creates a small crater on the field where it lands, which shoots out flaming rocks in an arc towards players. Touching either the crater or the rocks causes players to temporarily catch fire, forcing them to run around uncontrollably.
