Green Star Rings[1] are objects that appear only in Super Mario 3D World and its Nintendo Switch port. They bear similarities to the Green Stars they spawn, having the same glow, texture, and shape, but are bigger and are not solid. When a Green Star Ring is passed through, eight Green Coins appear, and when all Green Coins are collected, a Green Star appears.
