The Garnet Star is the sixth of the Crystal Stars Mario collects in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, obtained after finishing Chapter 6: 3 Days of Excess.
The Garnet Star is kept in a secret area of the Poshley Sanctum in Poshley Heights, which the Sanctum's owner, Pennington, did not even know about. A fake Garnet Star is on display in the main hall of the Sanctum, which is meant to attract tourists and trick thieves, which works on the Shadow Sirens and Doopliss, as well as Bowser and Kammy Koopa, as they confuse it with the real thing.
