Super Mario Bros. 3 is one of 9-Volt's microgames in WarioWare: Twisted! (where it is known as Super Mario Bros. 3-Lift) and returns as one of 18-Volt's microgames in WarioWare Gold. It is set in the original home console release of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Gameplay[edit]

The object is to keep Mario from being hit by the enemies by tilting the system to rotate the lifts. The enemies that can appear are Bullet Bills, jumping Cheep Cheeps, and Fire Piranha Plants. Rocky Wrenches are also added in Gold. Mario and Luigi will lose the microgame if they get hit once despite them being in their Super Mushroom states.

  • Level 1: The lift's rotating capacity is big, making it easy to avoid enemies.
  • Level 2: The lift's rotating capacity is smaller, making it harder to avoid enemies.
  • Level 3: Same as Level 1, but the player must now protect Luigi as well.

Trivia[edit]

  • Only the right side of the player display at the bottom-left corner is visible in WarioWare: Twisted! The initial, which reads either "M" or "L" during Super Mario Bros. 3 itself, is obscured by the bomb. In WarioWare Gold, the lives counter displays "M", even when Luigi's present in Level 3.
  • In Gold, the whole player display is shown with a functioning timer that counts down from 300, reaching 296 by the end of the microgame.
  • In Gold, if Mario or Luigi gets hit, their KO animation will go through the score table and card table at the bottom as well.
