It has been requested that this article be rewritten. Reason: it needs a concise topic; it shouldn't be every single beehive in the series (tagged on 9 November)

The Honeyhive Galaxy, the giant beehive planetoid on which the Queen Bee resides.

Beehives serve as homes for bees seen in some Mario games. They first appear in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, where a seemingly tiny Mario explores the interior of one in Area 4 of Tree Zone. Here, it is filled with Bībīs and related enemies, such as Skeleton Bees, Grubbies, Būichis, and Uneras.

In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, some levels take place in beehives made by Zingers. In these levels, the Kongs use the sticky honey to get around. Another Zinger hive, located in Jungle Japes, can be entered by Tiny Kong via the Mini-Monkey technique in Donkey Kong 64.

Beehives appear in Yoshi's Story, where, if a Yoshi gets close to one, its bee inhabitants impede his progress. Yoshi has to walk quietly past them so that he does not bother them.

Beehives appear in Paper Mario as homes for Bzzap!s.

They later appear in Super Mario Sunshine, where the bees only get angry if Mario sprays their beehives. If it is done, the beehive falls down and the bees attack Mario; eating these bees with Yoshi grants Mario a Blue Coin or a 1-Up Mushroom.

Beehives reappear in Mario Pinball Land, in the Grassy Greens Stage. Bees come come out of them and Mario has to defeat them all plus the other enemies to get a star. If he is in Mini Mario form, he can enter the beehive, which has many bees inside it. If he defeats them all, he is granted a star.

In Super Mario Galaxy, a galaxy known as the Honeyhive Galaxy possesses numerous beehive-like planetoids where a large number of bees live. The galaxy is ruled by Queen Bee, who lives atop a large beehive planetoid with a garden, a small lake, and a fountain on the top.

Later, in Mario Kart 7, there is a beehive-themed battle stage, the Honeybee Hive.

In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, a beehive appears as the main setting of the level Beehive Brawl. Template:BoxTop
