Summary/Description
Mario FPS game (2013)
Focused on the development of a grittier reboot of the mainline Super Mario series, with the creation of an article for a first-person shooter game simply titled Mario. It featured a new spin on classic characters and elements of the franchise.
Began the tradition of annual April Fool's jokes, as well as the inclusion of bizarre (yet real) facts about the Mario franchise on the main page's Did You Know section, which would be used in most subsequent years.
Focused on the Year of Waluigi, celebrating "the most important Nintendo character", accompanied by various Waluigi-themed announcements. Articles were created for Waluigi to Fitness, a personal trainer application for the Wii U, and Waluigi's Warehouse, a Luigi's Mansion-esque game with more horror elements.
An article was created for the upcoming release of a collectors book known as The Book of Kongs, featuring unused material created by Rare during development of the Donkey Kong Country games. This material notably included content on the "Great Ape War", which also received its own article.
An article was created for the development of the Nintendo Cinematic Universe in cooperation with Sony Pictures, a spoof of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with films based on Mario, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros., and Pokémon in the works. The Mario film received an article as well, featuring a reimagining of the events of Super Mario Bros. with Luigi as the main villain, along with promises of other dark and horror elements.
The wiki was changed to the Crash Bandicoot Wiki, complete with changes to its logo and background. An article covering the Crash Bandicoot franchise was also created.
A "New Funky Mode" graphic was added on the main page, which would take readers to the Funky Main Page, themed after Funky Kong. An article was also created for a script for a film loosely based on the Mario Kart series, known as Fit and Funky.
The wiki was changed to "We Are Pink Donkey Kong Jr.", complete with a new logo, referencing the wiki's long-running in-jokes around the pink palette swap of Donkey Kong Jr. from Donkey Kong Jr. Math. The main page implied that this was due to a takeover from Reggie Fils-Aimé himself.
The main page poll focused on which upcoming educational Mario games readers were most excited about, inspired by Pink Donkey Kong Jr.'s origins in a math game.
The 'Shroom was rebranded as "The Simian Sum", featuring new art assets on the main page.
The wiki announced that it would be restructuring to a "free to peruse" business model in 2021, asking readers to pay real money to view content. Badges were added for purchase, with varying humorous effects, including being able to bypass blocks, temporarily take over another user's account, and enabling the fabled Pie Button.
Additionally, an article was created for a datamine that uncovered several Mario Kart Tour costumes from the history of the franchise, including drunk Donkey Kong from Donkey Kong Planet, and Luigi and Wario cosplaying as Sailor Moon characters from the KC Mario manga.
Based on the jokes of Mario dying on March 31st surrounding the end of sale for Super Mario 3D All-Stars, all mentions of Mario were removed from the entire wiki with JavaScript, and the wiki was rebranded simply to the "Super Wiki". Without Mario, a new article was created for the Luigi franchise, with the introduction of "Blue Luigi" as the second player. An article was also created for the upcoming Super Luigi Galaxy 3 game, complete with a custom-made render of Luigi.
The wiki claimed to have received a full plot synopsis of Illumination's Mario film from an attendee of a test screening. A new article was created for the leaked plot, based on tropes from similar movies, which was linked on both the wiki's main page and the page for the film.
The main page poll asked readers which rumored villain they would like to see in the sequel, with various villains from the Mario series, along with Miyamoto, as options.
The wiki temporarily rebranded itself from being a wiki about the Super Mario franchise to being a super Mario Wiki, a superlative collection of information on everyone and everything bearing the name "Mario". An April Fool's article was created for Mario Segale, the real-estate developer who inspired the name of Mario, the videogame character. At the bottom of this article, a navigation template listed many people (and even some objects) named "Mario".
An article was created for a fake crossover game between the Kingdom Hearts series and the Super Mario franchise known as Mushroom Kingdom Hearts. The article was extremely detailed in its explanation of the story and gameplay mechanics, and featured original artwork and fake screenshots of the game.
This award recognizes characters that have been brought to life by members of the community, such as by appearing in forum games, roleplays, 'Shroom sections, and other projects. It celebrates both original characters and pre-existing characters from other media that have had effort put into their writing and portrayals.

Summary/Description
AC Hubbub and Pillar Panache
AC Hubbub and Pillar Panache appear as the presenters of the Awards 2023 Bonus Stars. They are based on MC Ballyhoo and Big Top from Mario Party 8 in appearance and mannerisms, and describe the various bonus stars with matching enthusiasm and quips.
Notes: Pillar Panache is specifically a pillbox hat. Their names contain multiple references (e.g., "AC" referencing the Awards Committee or Hubbub corresponding to Ballyhoo)
A master of disguise, taking on a seemingly endless range of personas to solve the mysteries he finds himself. His most notable mission was being assigned to infiltrate a group of mystery-solving girlbosses to help take down the villainous Organization.
Notes: Agent 30 is based on actor Steve Buscemi, notably his role in 30 Rock. His connections to a larger organization were revealed and explored here.
The instigator and "final boss" of the last Investigations chapter. As an act of revenge against the investigative girlbosses, he stole a pair of "mechanical hands" and vowed the destruction of every known universe. When the murder mystery was solved and he began to lose his powers, he ensured the finale would be a chaotic and explosive conclusion.
An advanced AI who was previously fused together with Sou Hiyori, or "Midori," while stuck in the Killing Game taking place on the S.S. Circinus and Circitus Island. Her bombastic personality led her to "buzzing around" Herlock Sholmes and frequently coming to odds, and developing a strange friendship(?), with his partner Dr. Bushroot.
Having now separated into her own body, she currently lives above her means in London. She traveled to Neo Bowser City for a vacation, only to get roped into the mystery surrounding the events at Trick Tower.
Notes: She has taken to referring to Midori as Matcha in the years following the Killing Game, and is able to contact the dead just as she could in AKGO... albeit to very questionable results in Investigations 4.
Alter-ego of Jackson Weele and an enemy of Spider-Man, noted for the signature wheel he drives. Although he attempted to mend his ways, he was drawn back into a life of villainy by the Wheel of Misfortune Killing Game. By random chance, he ended up gaining the superpowers of his nemesis, and was ultimately able to escape the game with his newfound allies.
The spirit of a young woman, once kept alive through a healthy fusion with a cyborg. After her demise, her body continued to roam the earth, controlled by the still-active drone inside her, hunting down the organization responsible for her untimely death.
After returning to the mortal realm, she sought to make peace with the people most familiar with her... corpse, and ultimately reconciled with her unique condition, happily passing on.
Cayde is just a normal girl who loves animals and generally is a happy person. However, some things cause her to be sad and overwhelm her with negative emotions. To help with this, her boyfriend Zerris is always there to guide her through it and make her happy again.
She placed 15th in the Mario Boards Mega Brawl, defeating the Mushroom Kingdom Smackdown champion Grunt for the first time in recorded history.
A professional psychologist, fantasy enthusiast, and Killing Game survivor, Dr. Alexander Wexlyn found himself thrust into yet another strange death game by the mysterious Teller Vision. With his newfound power to warp the laws of reality with a vote - and some strange allies in the form of Enby, Hekki, Satoru, and the rest - Dr. Wexlyn battled through his second Killing Game, taking out Teller Vision once and for all.
A forlorn warrior from the heavens sent on a holy quest at the behest of the enigmatic goddess Mother Luma. Inhabiting the form of a derelict plush rabbit, Enby must hunt down the elusive entity known as "the Errant Star" while making unexpected friends and grappling with his past as "♡♪!?". In the end, his bonds with Hekki, a sea monster named Shippy, and the newly-formed Legion of Metal Punchers allow him to overcome the forces that orchestrate his misery and set himself free in the process.
Hektate "Hekki" Magicka Blotte is a young Magiblot woman with a passion for art. Between jobs and tight on money, she signed on for a gameshow hosted by Teller Vision which turned out to be a Killing Game.
Though nervous around strangers and crowds, she was able to forge a bond with a heaven-sent Enby, helping him to carry out a plan to defy the fate planned for him by the goddess he served. Afterwards, in cooperation with the rest of the Legion of Metal Punchers, she defied Teller and his boss to escape the studio and the KG.
An aspect of a fourth-dimensional Thalassic alien entity being taking the appearance of a young woman. She exhibits a chill demeanor and enjoys Taco Bell, though she possesses great powers and will use them to protect what's important to her. Appearing prominently in the MarioBoards Investigations series, she is a member of a group of mystery-solving girlbosses.
Through her relationships with them, she has at least partially quelled some insecurities about her nature and her old assumptions she may have been bringing about negative consequences for those around her. She ended her arc leaping out of the falling skyscraper and descending a series of tendrils hand-in-hand with Viola.
Oda Nobunaga, as she appears in the Fate series, thrown into a world of mysteries here. Acting on advice from Detective Sakomoto, she chain-summoned an unlikely team of girlboss investigators to help solve a case, and now travels with them frequently. Worries about her relevance to the narrative and threatens to burn any case she can't solve to the ground.
Thrust into another investigation in the Trick Tower skyscraper, she began to contemplate what she had gained from the various trials and mysteries she and the other girlbosses had been put through, questioning her growth compared to the others, her relevance to the narrative, and the meaning of the journey. She decided that this mystery and the Trick Tower would be her final resting place, concluding her arc by launching herself into the flying skyscraper and hitting a button to cause an explosion to consume it and herself.
Pyrokles, Eighth Legend of Koopa Kingdom (better known as Pyro) refers to himself as the "most skilled magical manipulator of King Bowser's whole army" and is a Magikoopa practitioner of the art of "not magic". He is quite insistent that there is no such thing as magic, insisting that "not magic" can only be achieved by abandoning logic and shaping the world purely to one's imagination.
Alongside his sardonic companion Kroop (a flaming Dry Bones skull), he hosts The Sorcery Show, putting his magical skills to use in front of audiences and carrying out various schemes which often comically backfire.
A smug socialite with a big scythe, Renne spends her time trying to manipulate others into doing her dirty work for her, always trying her best to put herself on top of everything.
Possesses magnet powers, allowing her to manipulate metal.
A young man with a strange power he calls "revival". When tragedies occur, he is sometimes sent back in time to a point a few minutes before they occur. He was swept up into Teller Vision's Killing Game, bonding with others like Enby and Dr. Wexlyn over the course of the game and his reflections on life. He was killed early, only for his revival powers to activate.
He was selected for execution a second time, though he managed to cling to life and, with the game's survivors taking him along for their escape and a mysterious interloper named Berdly advising him, he was able to make it to a hospital and recover. He awoke reminiscing on his memories of the game and his allies in it.
Shmaluigi is a private investigator, typically portrayed with an internal monologue reminiscent of a noir detective. Since first appearing in Rogues in Rogueport Mafia, he has reappeared in multiple forum games, Awards presentations, and the ongoing Shmaluigi, Private Investigator 'Shroom section.
A big-mouthed, fast-talking bruiser determined to balance his demanding sports coach job with his responsibilities as an adoptive father. This iteration of Vector the Crocodile served as the host of the Scribble Scrabble 2023, wherein he drove the players around in his trusty bus and eventually got them sentenced to life imprisonment.
Has a bachelors degree in social engineering and once fought alongside Dr. Alexander Wexlyn and a talking Italian cat in the rabbit apocalypse war.
The television-headed automaton built to host the Wheel of Misfortune Killing Game program. He loves randomness and the spotlight to a fault, and doesn't care much for morals or ethics when it doesn't suit him. His original body was ultimately destroyed by the surviving contestants during the program's climax as they made their escape.
Toadette is the assistant manager at the Mushroom City Car Wash. Though she can be quite bossy at times, a lot of the employees respect her kind and friendly attitude towards customers and co-workers. If anyone needs a helping hand, she's willing to lend assistance and keep things organized.
A walking, talking oven robot, brought to life by the spirit of scribbling. Ruler of the Kingdom of Sunset Gold (and later, the entire world), he uses his ever-rising power levels to maintain order and balance.
After suffering a mortifying defeat at the hands of a great evil, the Kingsbournes, his cute mechanical children, recovered and attempted to restore his legacy and body.
The small Kingsbournes are referred to as (left to right in above image) Alpha, Sigma, Oumega, and Gamma.
The ceremony where users presented the results of votes in the seventeenth Mario Awards celebration
Consisted of user-made presentations covering the results of the Mario Awards XVII (20 awards), the Fail Awards XV (10 awards), and the Community Awards XVI (15 awards)
Additionally featured the debut of "Bonus Stars", special bonus presentations recognizing unusual moments from the year or interesting results
Minecraft Games 2023 + Minecraft Winter Games 2024
Various games hosted in Minecraft, including Spleef, Murderer, Hockey, and Hunger Games, as part of the Awards season

Introduced Project DREAMB, where players were given plots to make their own builds which were shown off during the Games, with their entrances hidden around the hub
DREAMB was coordinated by GBA (talk), who also did daily reveals of DREAMBs as the hub MC, with technical work by 2257 (talk) and additional support by TPG (talk)
Later followed up by Minecraft Winter Games hosted by TPG (talk), featuring a new hub known as Port Pailassos
The Minecraft Winter Games featured additional activities for players, a number of original characters as NPCs, and additional DREAMB constructions

An experimental game in the Scribble format hosted by TPG (talk) to try out new gimmicks and rulesets
Featured rounds included adding your opponent's color to your palette, drawing in only 20 minutes, completing a partially finished drawing instead of receiving a text prompt, being able to use three colors but not black or white, and a bonus round where opponents swapped their chosen colors
Scribble time was reduced from 4 hours in previous games to 2 hours
The third iteration of the Scribble Awards tournament format, which continued to maintain a focus on letting artists of all skill levels compete over a period of weeks
Participants were paired off during each round, with users voting to choose their favorite of the two pieces put forward by each matchup
Artwork made for this tournament took the form of "scribbles," which were limited to a 600px or 10cm canvas, three colors (black, white, and a color unique to each participant), and a four-hour time limit
Users were given an overall theme for the round, and had to organize a time where they could receive their specific prompt (which would begin the four-hour time limit), with both users in a given matchup receiving the same prompt
Featured a narrative of Soccer Dad Vector taking the scribblers to see an ancient artifact 1,000 years after the events of 2022's Scribble Showdown
Incorporated Discord prompts (with assistance from LTQ) so that users could receive their prompts from a bot at any time
