Species Human
First appearance Super Mario (Super Mario Land 3) (1990)

Shanbo Ozaki is a professional golfer who briefly appears in the Super Mario Land 3 manga as the victim trapped inside the first chapter's antagonist Gorufuman Robo. He is a caricature of Japanese professional golfer Masashi Ozaki.

Before the chapter's events, Golf Daiō used his magic to turn Shanbo Ozaki into Gorufuman Robo, the Game Boy Club's mascot, who is unbeatable at golf, owing to his professional skill and the costume's gadgets and sensors.

When wearing the costume, Shanbo's hairy legs are visible. At one point, when Gorufuman Robo is undergoing a punishment for hitting a foul, Peach's notices that Gorufuman's bottom is strangely human, but he diverts their focus back on the game.

After beating Gorufuman, the costume comes crumbling down, freeing Shanbo. Unaware of what happened to him, he realizes he is late to a tournament and runs off in a hurry. When Peach asks who he was, Mario recognizes him and tells her.
