The Ghost Ride is a High-End kart in Mario Kart Tour. It was introduced in the 2019 Halloween Tour and is the signature vehicle of King Boo (Luigi's Mansion). The kart is designed after a hearse and resembles the Ford Model T, with a grille resembling a scary face. The exhaust pipes come out from the front, similarly to the Mini Beast from Mario Kart Wii. It uses the Off-Road tires from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and features the driver's emblem on the front, sides, and back. Its name is a reference to ghost riding, the act of exiting a vehicle while it is still in motion and moving along or, in some cases, dancing on top of it. The Ghost Ride increases the duration of Rocket Start speed boosts and the number of points earned for performing a Rocket Start.
A wedding-themed counterpart of this kart known as the Happy Ride appears in the game starting with the Peach Tour. Another counterpart based on a Hackney carriage and named the Black Carriage appears in the game starting with the 2022 Anniversary Tour. Both karts are classified as High-End karts.
Availability
The Ghost Ride has only appeared in certain pipes and does not currently appear in the Daily Selects lineup. The following table shows the kart's availability by tour.
