Ken Darling is a reporter for the fictional news network DK-TV in a commercial for Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!. The commercial opens on Ken attempting to pass time before going on air, including by vocalizing to the tune of the "Ground Theme" from Super Mario Bros. While on air, Ken explains that the Nintendo Distribution Center in North Bend, Washington has been overrun by Mini Marios after they were planned to help ship Nintendo's holiday releases. He elaborates that Nintendo plans to redirect the Mini Marios using girders, ladders, and conveyor belts, but he hopes that they do not have to resort to Warp Pipes. He concludes the report as Mini Marios leave the building behind him before passing the conversation back to his coworker, Bob.
