"Game Over"[2] is a musical jingle composed by Kenta Nagata for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, where it plays in the Game Over screen. It is a brief arrangement of "Title Theme" from the same game.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]

New Super Mario Bros. Wii marks the first appearance of "Game Over". Whenever the theme is played in-game, Mario can be heard crying in the background during the appearance of the "Game Over" text.

New Super Mario Bros. 2[edit]

In New Super Mario Bros. 2, the original version of "Game Over" plays in the Game Over screen.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe[edit]

In New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, the original version of "Game Over" plays in the Game Over screen. The drumbeats at the end are omitted.

Super Mario Maker 2[edit]

In Super Mario Maker 2, the original version of "Game Over" plays when the player gets a Game Over on a New Super Mario Bros. U-style level in the Endless Challenge.
