Shredder is a move used by Culex and Smithy's Mask Head in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars along with its Nintendo Switch remake. The attack envelops the player's party with a bright pink light and eliminates all beneficial status effects on the team such as ATTACK UP! or DEFENSE UP!. It will also degrade the boosts of the Troopa Medal, Ghost Medal, and Quartz Charm, as well as removing the protection from Red Essence. This technique is somewhat based on the Dispel technique from the Final Fantasy games.
