Fake Goal Poles[1] are objects that appear in Shifty Boo Mansion and Shiftier Boo Mansion in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They have an appearance of regular uninteracted Goal Poles. Unlike regular Goal Poles, they cannot be used to finish the level. They instead turn into several Boos and disappear on interaction. One fake Goal Pole appears in Shifty Boo Mansion, and two more appear in Shiftier Boo Mansion. The first fake Goal Pole in the latter level summons three Big Boos around it when a player gets near it.
