- Not to be confused with Baddie Block.
Baddie Boxes[1] are Blocks appearing in Super Mario 3D Land. They are dark olive-green boxes with dark yellow borders and Bowser's symbols in red printed on its sides. When approached, the Bowser symbols will pulse red three times and the box will release an enemy. They will stop creating enemies if they have released three that are still on-screen. Defeating these enemies will cause the box to generate more to replace them.
They are semi-rare, featured in worlds such as World 2-4 and Special 1-3. These blocks release two kinds of enemies: Goombas in normal levels and Dry Bones in castle levels. Baddie Boxes have an infinite amount of enemies. They can be destroyed with a pound of Statue Mario or with a Starman, although Baddie Boxes are typically found above hazards such as open air or lava. A glitch can occur when White Tanooki Mario Ground Pounds; it prevents him from falling through the box, which explodes, and the game starts to lag. This glitch can be done by White Tanooki Mario or Luigi in Special 1-3, for example, because the Baddie Boxes are sitting on a platform and not in the air.
In World 2-4 and Special 1-3, Baddie Boxes are seen releasing Goombas, while in World 5-Castle and Special 8-3, they release infinite Dry Bones.
Baddie Boxes are also found in Super Mario 3D World and appear in Bob-ombs Below, Bowser's Bob-omb Brigade and Super Block Land. They are also quite rare in the game, and they only release Bob-ombs. They can also be destroyed by Golden Statue Mario.
