The Drill Mushroom[1] is a power-up item that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It takes the form of a mushroom with a gray drill and a red base in place of the cap. Upon picking it up, it will turn the user into their Drill form[1], giving them the ability to drill through the ground and ceiling along with being able to defeat enemies from below similar to the Spiny Shell helmet from Super Mario Maker. If the Jet Run badge is equipped you will move automatically underground while going slightly faster. The Drill Mushroom's physical appearance resembles the Spin Drill from Super Mario Galaxy 2.
It first appears in Jewel-Block Cave, the first level after World 3, Shining Falls.
