An Elephant Fruit is a power-up item that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is a red and white fruit, resembling an apple with an elephant trunk and ears, as well as two beady eyes.

History

Super Mario Bros. Wonder

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, upon collecting an Elephant Fruit, it will turn the user into a bipedal elephant version of themselves, simply known as their Elephant form. Characters will also exclaim "Wowie zowie!" as they transform. Unlike other power-ups, the transformation to the Elephant form is uneven, and actually turns the collector into an elephant, rather than equipping them with a suit of some kind. The level's music changes to a slightly different rendition with horns when the power-up is in use. The music in Wonder Effects is not affected.

Super Mario Run

The Elephant Fruit appears as one of the stamps on the Stamp Cards in the Super Mario Bros. Wonder event in Super Mario Run from December 20, 2023 to March 15, 2024.
