A Mega Rocky Wrench is a large variety of a Rocky Wrench that first appears in Super Mario Maker. While they are larger, Mega Rocky Wrenches have the same appearance and similar behavior as their regular counterparts.

HistoryEdit

Super Mario seriesEdit

Super Mario Maker / Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DSEdit

In Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, Mega Rocky Wrenches can be created if a Rocky Wrench is enlarged with a Super Mushroom. Similar to winged Rocky Wrenches, they hop out from underground and grow in size, throwing their wrench, and then shrink to normal size before hiding. They can be defeated the same way as a normal Rocky Wrench.

Super Mario Maker 2Edit

Mega Rocky Wrenches return in Super Mario Maker 2, retaining their prior behavior. This time, tapping and holding a Rocky Wrench and selecting the Super Mushroom from the pop-up menu can transform it into a Mega Rocky Wrench, though dragging the Super Mushroom onto a Rocky Wrench still works. Additionally, they can be attached to parachutes. They can placed in any game style except the Super Mario 3D World style.

Super Mario Party JamboreeEdit

In Super Mario Party Jamboree, a Mega Rocky Wrench appears as the boss of the minigame Mega Rocky Wrench Wreckers. Rather than grow and shrink in size, it comes out of one of several giant manholes. It is shown to be in charge of many of normal Rocky Wrench minions. Unlike the ones from the Super Mario Maker games, this one uses the Rocky Wrench design from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Upon losing half of its health, the Mega Rocky Wrench will move more quickly, and will throw its own, larger wrenches, which have to be shot multiple times. Defeating the boss causes it to collapse back inside the manhole, followed by jets of fire exploding out of the manholes.
