"Nintendo The Super Mario Bros. Movie - Q&A with the Cast! | JAKKS Pacific" is a promotional YouTube video that was published on the official Jakks Pacific channel in 2023. The video is themed after The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and is the first in a series of multiple similar videos to be published on the channel. The video features Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, and Jack Black. As with each video in the series, Pratt asks Day and Black a question pertaining to the film in some way.
Synopsis[edit]
At the start of the video, Chris Pratt introduces himself, Charlie Day, and Jack Black, in addition to stating which characters the three of them voice in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Pratt then says that the three are "taking a break from filming" to play a "quiz game" with Jakks Pacific toys themed after the movie. Pratt then picks up a Bowser action figure, stating that he is going to ask the other two some questions.
The first question Pratt asks is for Jack Black. He asks him "If you could breathe fire like Bowser, what would you do with it?". Black says that he would use the ability for self-defense, yet also says that he would use it to barbecue food. Charlie Day agrees with this, stating that he thought of the same thing, and that the ability would even be useful to make toast in the morning.
Black then asks Charlie if he would actually eat a hamburger if he cooked it by breathing fire on it, and then mimes doing so. He then pretends to hand Charlie the finished burger, which Charlie refuses. Pratt then comes up with a name for the resulting foods cooked via Jack's ability to breathe fire, this being "Jack Blackened". Charlie then says that the fire from his breath would burn out the germs that also came from his breath. Following this, Black reiterates the name that Pratt has just come up with.
As Black says this, Pratt uses a function in the Bowser figure that allows it to "exhale" steam, which Charlie and Black find impressive. Pratt then hands Black the figure, stating that somebody told him that Black was allowed to take it home with him. This excites Jack, who then thanks the person that told Pratt this.
