Just like the Paraglider, Peach Parasol and Flower Glider, it offers an acceleration boost, while hindering weight, but like all the other gliders, it allows karts to go airborne for a brief time period.

It returns in Mario Kart Tour where it is classified as a High-End glider. A gold version also exists in the game, simply named the Gold Swooper, which shares the same High-End classification. Players that use this glider will receive more points upon hitting other racers with Bob-ombs.
