The Sprinter, stylised as B Dasher Mk 2 in the British English and Japanese versions, features great speed; it is the fastest medium vehicle in the game and the second fastest kart in the game after the Jetsetter. It is also the third fastest vehicle in the game, after the Spear and Jetsetter. Its weight, which is tied with the Shooting Star, is also manageable, and it is the second heaviest medium kart in the game, only to be behind that of the Wild Wing’s. Its drift is about average, but its other stats are rather low, and has the worst handling, off-road, and Mini-Turbo of the medium vehicles. The Sprinter's drift is tied with the Booster Seat. Its off-road and handling tie with that of the Flame Runner for fourth worst handling (behind the Flame Flyer, Spear, and Jetsetter) and fourth worst off-road in the game (behind  the Flame Flyer, Spear, and Jetsetter). If Daisy rides the Sprinter, its speed can surpass the Spear's default speed by one point.

Template:Kart-infobox The B Dasher Mk. 2, originally known as the Sprinter in North America, is a kart that appears in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart Tour. Its appearance is based on a modern Formula One car (Mario's color scheme in particular resembling the McLaren MP4/4) and is the successor of the B Dasher from Mario Kart DS. The Circuit Special from Mario Kart 8 greatly resembles the B Dasher Mk. 2.

History

Mario Kart Wii

The Sprinter, stylised as B Dasher Mk 2 in the British English and Japanese versions, first appears in Mario Kart Wii as a medium-sized kart. It features great speed; it is the fastest medium vehicle in the game and the second fastest kart in the game after the Jetsetter.

The kart can be unlocked by unlocking 24 expert staff ghosts in Time Trials, by winning 3,000 WFC races or by playing 4,650 races. Its bike counterpart is the Sneakster. The emblem is located on the two tailfins and the hood. Its large counterpart is the Jetsetter, while its small counterpart is the Blue Falcon.

Mario Kart Tour

The Sprinter returns in Mario Kart Tour, now called the B Dasher Mk. 2. It is a High-End kart debuting in the Mario Tour and is the signature kart of Mario (Racing). In this game, it is equipped with Mario's color scheme and does not change if other racers are using it. The B Dasher Mk. 2 retains its original tires (although they now have the Mario Kart logo on them), and increases the duration of Dash Panel boosts and the points earned for using Dash Panels.

So far, this is the only kart in Mario Kart Tour to use the British English name as opposed to the American English name.

The B Dasher Mk. 2 is available in all regular tour pipes, including the All-Clear Pipe, however, it is not currently in the shop's Daily Selects. The table below shows the kart's additional availability by tour.

Trading Card

"The Sprinter is one of the fastest Karts available in the game. Fast? Yes. But can it cut a corner? Not so much. Things have a way of "evening out" in Mario Kart Wii. This Kart exemplifies the pros and cons of the stat bonuses."
