"Girls Just Want to Have Fun'" is a 1979 song by American musician Robert Hazard, covered by Cyndi Lauper in 1983 to wide recognition. An adapted cover of Lauper's version is featured in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Reign Storm." It first plays as Princess Toadstool and Cutter engage in activities at the beach in Hawaii, and again when Princess Toadstool and Toad stop King Koopa's crowning. This song has since been edited out in later airings of the show, being replaced by an instrumental of "Mega Move," which originates from Captain N: The Game Master. However, it can still be heard on the Super Mario Bros.: King Koopa Katastrophe DVD.
